I always get the lobster tail dinner. You can't beat the price for that well sized lobster tail. And I always get the cheesecake for dessert. Love the place. You should make reservations. View all feedback.
What Puppyoverlord doesn't like about Overboards:
Place was dusty windows were not wiped, old glasses, utensils and felt old (the menu doesn’t detail sides or what’s included). The surf and turf was 46$ and not cooked correctly to order. We had a big group and our “MR” looked like it was still Moo’ing. First time to Lake Wallenpaupack and my first stop for dinner by chance and it turned out to be a great choice...warm and cozy atmosphere with friendly staff and local customers...bartender was awesome...menu was just the right size of selections with additional daily specials...seating inside and outside patio...I had the Chicken Marsala and it was delicious...definitely a great destination for dinner in the area...
Definitely won't be back. There were multiple issues I experienced. Service was incredibly slow! The waitress was very nice but you could tell she being rushed around only coming to our table to tell us she's sorry and she'll get to us as soon as she can. We were there for over 2 hours all told with orders being taken 30 min in and appetizer and food being dropped in the last 30. Soup and salad were pretty good, the Louisiana boil appetizer was very tasty, and my wife's meal (the daily special Fra Diavolo) was good. My food however, the governors scallops, were truly terrible. They are prepared in a different way everyday and the nightly preparation was Citrus Chipotle. When my $23 meal came, it was bland rice and beans, unseasoned vegetable mix and only 4 scallops absolutely drowned in BBQ sauce. I had been there for 2 hours at that point so I put my disgust aside, ate my scallops, paid my check, and tipped my waitress. If you're thinking of going, try to go at a less busy time and make sure you don't gamble on the chefs preparation of the day.
Food was amazing and our server was super nice and helpful! The food came out perfectly so that the apps came first, then when we were done they brought the salads, and lastly the entrees. Everything at the table was cooked perfectly with very generous portion sizes. The shrimp and clams came over linguini and was delicious!
Like most of the places around here they should be more customer centered. We were so rushed out, it felt uncomfortable. Service was borderline rude, food was so-so. For example: if you offer soup or salad with your entree but run out of cheep soup don 't say it comes with soup or salad but we only have french onion soup left and it is $2 extra . Coconut prawns were nearly burnt. House dressing on free salad saved this place from 2 stars.
Place is seriously understaffed My son and his friend went tonight sat at bar and ordered. Food never came but they gave him bill for it!! Very unorganized Was a good place when Chris owned it. It won’t survive with service like this Cross this place off our list…shame
