The Christmas decorations were so pretty but not over the top. Our party loved the shrimp cocktail and bruschetta we had for appetizers. I ordered the ravioli Florentine and it was served nice and hot with chopped fresh tomatoes. The filling in the ravioli melted in my mouth! View all feedback.
What SusieQ doesn't like about Almost Home:
We arrived for our 11 AM reservation only to find the doors locked and the restaurant closed, despite the sign indicating they were open (according to the January hours). We had planned to take our daughter to lunch during our visit to DePauw, and we were very disappointed. View all feedback.
Agree with name...it was like home. Good quality food, cozy atmosphere. The Almost Home burger was good as was the soup of the day.
Good food, wonderful service. I'm not sure I'd take small children here but for teens and adults who can quietly sit and have a meal, this is a great place I happened upon when I found myself near the Greencastle Square looking for lunch.
Nice atmosphere and great food. Desserts ate amazing so be sure to leave room for. Husband got the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. Tenderloin was pounded fairly then but was good. I had the chicken and vegetables pasta. It was good and very light not heavy. Good use some more seasoning but still good. For dessert we had the strawberry pizza pie. It is amazing and not something you want to mias.
This was a great experience suggested by a local. Service was awesome, food was delicious and the atmosphere was quaint. Joe our server took great care of us and made the experience wonderful.
Our first time, and it was very nice, decorated for the holiday beautifully, and prices were quite reasonable for this cuisine and ambiance. We will be returning for special occasions!
