We spent the weekend away and had an amazing time. We dined here last Friday night, and the food was fantastic. I was hesitant to try it based on some of the reviews, but I'm really glad we did. We all enjoyed our meals. The only downside was the wait time for service and for our food to arrive, which could definitely be improved. Additionally, the waiter could have been friendlier to enhance the experience. Overall, I would definitely return.
This gorgeous estate will always hold a special place in my heart. This is my boyfriend’s and mine very first date night. The restaurant is below and has a very romantic intimate feel. I love the old world of this place. The wait staff was insanelyfriendly and attentive. The food was out of this world. I tell everyone about this place if I get the chance. I hope one day wecan come back when we’re back in NY.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant! The waiter was very friendly, and the soft lighting gave the place a warm and inviting vibe. The hint of history added to its charm, and the food was truly amazing! The burger I had was the best I've ever tasted! I also sampled a bite of what I think was a Philly cheesesteak, and it was bursting with flavor. The only downside was that I wished I had a larger appetite to try more from the menu! I can’t wait to go back!
Our party of four ordered a variety of dishes, including the burger, which was one of the best I've ever tasted. We also sampled the BBQ chicken flatbread, the burrata, and the open-faced Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which turned out to be the standout of the meal. It was perfectly crafted—neither greasy nor artificial—and packed with fresh peppers and high-quality cheese. Trust me, you won't regret dining here, and you'll probably find yourself looking at your calendar to plan your next visit to Cellar 49!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant! The waiter was exceptionally friendly, and the soft lighting provided a wonderful ambiance. There was a sense of history to the place that added to its charm. The food was outstanding—truly, the best burger I've ever tasted! I also got a chance to sample what I believe was a Philly cheesesteak, and it was fantastic. I only wish I had a bigger appetite to try more dishes! I can’t wait to go back!
We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant. We arrived on a Friday night, just as restaurant week was wrapping up. Although the crowd was small, it created a pleasant atmosphere. The bartender made outstanding drinks, and the new menu featured a great variety of dinner options. We ordered the smoked pork chop—absolutely delicious!—and the roast chicken, which was also excellent. While the prices are somewhat higher than we usually prefer, the exceptional quality of the food, drinks, and decor definitely make it worth the splurge.
This delightful restaurant holds a special place in my heart, as it was where my friend and I had our first date night. The atmosphere is warm and romantic, creating a truly intimate setting. I love the old-world charm of the place. The waitstaff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, which enhanced our experience. The food was simply exceptional! I'm eager to share this hidden gem with everyone I know. I genuinely hope we can return here when we're back in New York someday.
Discovering this gem was a delight! This restaurant offers a peaceful atmosphere, outstanding service, and fantastic cuisine. Although it's a little tucked away, it's absolutely worth the effort to seek it out. Highly recommended!

Amazing find! This is a wonderful restaurant. Quiet atmosphere, excellent service, and fantastic food. It's a bit off the beaten track, but well worth the effort to find. Highly recommended!
The ambience is warm and relaxed, with a dimly lit dining room and a fire place but not stuffy or over the top formal. The staff were super professional and nice. The food was absolutely delicious. NO doubt I'd definitely come here outside of Restaurant Week because the prices are not overblown either.. My table of four had the Burger which was one of the best I've tasted. We had the Flatbread with BBQ chicken, the Burrata, the open faced philly cheese steak sandwich which was probably the star of the day not greasy or fake or lacking peppers or filled with weird cheese. I am telling you, you will not regret coming here and you will immediately pull out your calendar and figure out which day of next week you can spare to come back to Cellar 49.
Good prices, really nice bartender but the place, literally located in the cellar, felt a bit like a dungeon. That said, you could take your drinks outside to a lovely view of the surrounding hotel.
Good atmosphere in a historical language that has been found since the ban. The food was subdued and somewhat overpriced, but it is worth seeing the place.
This stunning restaurant will always have a cherished spot in my heart. It was my friend's and my first night out together, and the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and intimate. I really adore the vintage charm of this place. The waitstaff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. The food was simply out of this world. I can't wait to share my experience with everyone when I get the opportunity. I hope that one day we can return when we're back in New York.
