Greenbank Restaurant

A real find in an out-of-the-way spotThis place used to be a hamburger joint that served out of a window beside a gas pump.

I have never had a bad experience at Greenbank restaurant! The food is lovely and the service is great. It is the best sushi you can get in the area by a long shot. The owners are the nicest people, and they work extremely hard! It is a small venue, but very warm and welcoming. They do close mid-day between 2:30 and 5:00pm and are closed on Mondays and do not serve lunch on Tuesdays. It is my favourite restaurant in the area for lunch or dinner.

Nothing fancy but the food is always fresh, the service is great. The place needs a little of updating but if you want to go out for some oriental food, this is place you should try. the prices are fair and its good food.

I was looking on-line for a restaurant in Port Perry and found this amazing little restaurant which is actually in Greenbank - just north of Port Perry. It sounded very good, based on the reviews that I read and it certainly lived up to my expectations. My wife and I went for Sunday lunch - I had the shogayaki and my wife had the bulgogi. Both were excellent. We have eaten Japanese food in Kyoto and Korean food in Seoul and this meal was every bit as good as those. Cold Japanese beer went nicely with my spicy meal. Very clean restaurant, very polite server and prices were reasonable. Can't wait to go again.

You wouldn't expect to find quality dining in a very small town, but it's here! Make a reservation otherwise you might not get a table.
