The bar has a fantastic atmosphere and friendly staff. However, we encountered a rather persistent individual named Levi Clark, who resembled a washed-up Bob Seger. He kept trying to get us to join him, which was quite bothersome. Thankfully, the bartender managed the situation well, which was a definite plus. Aside from that, the place was lively, with plenty of dogs around, reasonable prices, and a great location. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Blue Moose Tavern:
the menu looked great and was very cheap, but when our food came out, it left much to wish. I would have paid a little more for a high quality meal. the ambiente was funny, the personal was great, the waiting times were what I would expect from their personal to customer relationship. (not bad) I would definitely eat again for drinks, music, pool and so, but maybe I would eat somewhere else. View all feedback.

The food was really good! Especially the Ute Pass Poppers! The inside is such a fun place, and it is located next to a beautiful park if you'd rather take your food to go and eat outside! The staff is incredibly friendly, the drinks are excellent, and the food is quite good. It's a fantastic spot to wrap up the evening with a beverage!
The atmosphere was fantastic—very friendly and casual, though a bit rustic, with a floor that had a patchwork of plywood in places. The food was definitely better than typical pub fare. On our first visit, I ordered the Jalapeno Beer Mac and Cheese along with Parmesan Truffle Fries, while my friend opted for the Chicken Caesar Wrap. She enjoyed a margarita, and I went for a beer from the tap. During our second visit, we both had beers and personal-sized pizzas. I chose the vegetarian Boujee Margarita, which is made with margarita tomato marinara sauce (not the cocktail!), while she had the Catamount, topped with chicken, tomato, onion, and cheese. She had the option of alfredo or basil pesto sauce and went with the latter, claiming it was fantastic; she even took her leftover slices home. I, on the other hand, polished off my entire pizza in one sitting—it was that delicious! Our first visit featured some troublesome patrons—one person who seemed to be either drunk, high, or both had to be carried to a couch before an ambulance was called. On our second visit, we encountered a group of very intoxicated individuals (mostly men) yelling expletives at the TV screens and arguing over rival football teams. We chose to sit outside that time, which seemed like a good idea initially, until it started pouring rain. Even the umbrella on our table didn’t keep me fully dry, as I ended up with a stream of cold rainwater running down my back for part of the visit—LOL! The waitstaff, however, were amazing. When I asked a bartender if we could have a server, he responded with, "How about a waiter?" since our waitress wasn’t scheduled to work that day. At least they have a good sense of humor! Maybe I should have used the unisex term "waitron" that I learned while writing about restaurant staff back in the 1990s, but that term never really took off. In any case, don’t miss The Blue Moose for a great time, delicious food and drinks, and a lively atmosphere!
