The food, service, and atmosphere at Howard's are always top notch. First time here was when I was a child and my family took us there. Still excellent. Parking: Narrow alley access to very accomodating parking lot behind restaurant. Main entrance to Howard's is sidewalk level right on 13th Street. View all feedback.
What Gena Coleman doesn't like about Howard's Charro Cafe:
I have been coming to this restaurant for over 20+ years and the owners changed a few years back. The menu prices changed but THEY didn’t change them all and do not want to honor the prices. It’s not like I go looking for a certain menu. The new lady owner wanted to be argumentative about a sign is posted. Who is looking for signs I went in and ate dinner I didn’t go checking for signs. It’s not like I go looking for a certain menu. The new lady owner wanted to be argumentative about a sign is posted. Who is looking for signs I went in and ate dinner I didn’t go checking for signs. I barely looked at the menu only to show my mother a price so she could call and order. But that’s ok. The lack of care for customers shows me all I need to know after 20+ years we will not be back.
Very nice. Food, service, atmosphere. Nice all the way around.
Food and service just ok. Nothing spectacular about it but the atmosphere felt like we were really in Mexico. I enjoyed Mexico.
I ended up leaving after 45 min of waiting. I wanted shrimp, they were out ..oddly. and they never came back to take my new order so I gave up and left. Will never go back.
Food was really good, our server was amazing. However, the old ahh lady who works here is very rude and creates an uncomfortable environment. I would recommend picking up the food and not dining in if she’s here, she might start loudly talking about you indirectly.
