Absolutely enjoyed our meal at 'Fresh Catch Diner'! The waitress was very friendly and our meal was served promptly! The food was amazing!!!! I ordered the fish and chips and was blown away by how great it was! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal at a reasonable price! View all feedback.
What Leo Oberbrunner doesn't like about Fresh Catch Diner:
It is hard to go wrong with bacon (or ham or sausage) and eggs and they did not go wrong. Our breakfast came quickly and was good. The coffee (all we wanted) was good too. I would have like a larger plate to juggle things around but that is minor. The waitress was friendly and gave good service. The carpet on the floor was soiled and off putting. There was no attempt at decor, just a couple posters and a map. My chair... View all feedback.

With a tired and hungry group of travellers (2 kids under 5, 2 adults and 2 grandparents) we couldn't wait for our table at the Blue Mussel Café to come up. So, we ate here instead. It was ok, good enough for eating. Surprisingly good craft beer selection. The service was excellent: the woman was running off her feet but was incredibly attentive and got it right with a smile. She was even washing dishes in the back! Food was so so. Wouldn't eat there again but wasn't so distraught like other reviewers at the place.
I enjoy the pizza here. get it pretty often. I love the fact that they cut everything up, instead of leaving a big chunk of say green pepper. Everything is under the cheese instead of on top. Cheese is nice and stringy. It's like eating pizza you made at home. only thing that would make it more like home is if i used my fav sauce ^_^. Give the pizza a Chance you may just like it. (i hate places that put half the topping on top of the cheese, this place don't i love that)
My husband and I picked this place for a quick takeout supper, boy were we dissapointed. Service was quick, I will give them that. Mussels were ok (I mean how can you mess up steamed mussels)....now the chowder, the chowder was something else all together! H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E!! DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT order the chowder. I'm from Nova Scotia and I know what a good chowder tastes like and this was NOT it. First off, we received about a half a bowl of chowder, and it looked D-I-G-U-S-T-I-N-G! I am adding a pic so you can see for yourself. Now in the land of lobster and potatoe, one would expect to see these two foods in their chowder. We did not. To me it tasted burnt, the texture of the broth was undescribably sickening. So instead of steering clear of the chowder, I actually recommend that you steer clear of the restaurant all together, I know we will. I love to give great reviews, but sadly can only give them where deserved.
I ordered the clams and two pieces of fish, which came to $25. The fish had a bread crumb batter and was overcooked. The clams seemed to have been frozen, as they were not fresh and had a freezer-like taste. In hindsight, I should have been more cautious, but sometimes the best food comes from unexpected places. We were visiting from out of town and didn't research the restaurant ahead of time - we simply stumbled upon it while driving by in search of fresh fried clams. I would not recommend this place.
