While many patrons appreciate its upscale ambiance, dining experiences vary widely. Service can falter during busy times, marked by slow attentiveness and an occasionally limited menu. However, the food often shines, with standout items like crispy Nashville hot chicken, savory steaks, and well-seasoned fries. Guests enjoy both casual bites and elevated dishes, supported by friendly bartenders offering solid drink recommendations. Overall, Poke the Bear presents a blend of casual and refined dining, drawing guests back despite occasional service hiccups.
We're sorry for the server that even covers a huge area and works hard! they had very little wein on the ipad. the steak was not a cut for steakfriten, but was simply sirloin with a white spot on the plate. the hotel is beautiful. it is too bad that it is chaos in restaurant.
We had a reservation, waited to welcome 5 minutes. not much. After we set ourselves, we waited 30 minutes. No one came to the table, although a series of people looked at us and came by. we went without ever talking to a server.
Terrible. don't waste your time or your money. could not find our open table reservation. then we sat in a junkie table at the door with a view of 1 tw in a sport pub. He waited for 15 minutes for a simple hallo that never came. we got out. will never go back.
The service was terrible. It was busy, but the service was so poor it cannot be overlooked. The steak was improperly cooked and the salad arrived without dressing. Unfortunately, this was unable to be remedied because nobody asked how the meal was. After waiting about 15-20 minutes for the requested check, we had to go to the bar to pay so we could leave.
Stopped by for a small evening meal. Our server was excellent. Food and cocktails were served promptly. Our server also gave us a brief history of the hotel and it's frequent visitors. Definitely a nice stop for a sandwich and drink later in the evening.
