I went to Nakashima last night for my birthday dinner when I was there for the first time and was impressed. Food was great, the cook was great! Our drinks tasted like pure alcohol, but not the worst. Overall had a really great experience and cannot wait back! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Nakashima Of Japan:
Very good. Sushi rolls are small. Taste not very fresh. Tuna is all lubricated with Mayo sauce. I wouldn't recommend this place. Shinonbi roll with crab salad on the upper pictures below taste more like hot cheese diving. Avoid. View all feedback.
1st time here, suggested by a friend. The hostess was really friendly and showed me to the sushi room after asking me a few questions. I then asked my waiter to just have the chef surprise me and make whatever he liked. I was treated to a 15 piecesushi platter that was beautifully designed and very tasty. The motif of the whe restaurant was great. Their prices were prettyreasonable. Overall I'd definitely suggest try this wonderful place if given the chance.
Was thrilled to go and was definitely disappointed in this place. The shrimps you give with your meal were popcorn shrimps, but the shrimps they give away for the table were large shrimps. Didn't make any sense. 5 adults with tip to eat 18% built in $243.00 and this is without alcohol. All ordered 1 extra fried rice with the meal. Server never came back to refill drinks that I had to go to the bar to get a refill. She took our job and made us go to boxes. She forgot our sushi and our hot tea. If the tip on the invoice is not a reason to take care of the guests. I wouldn't go back, even if it was free. If I had a gift certificate, I would have it in the parking lot for 20.00 less than the value or give it to the homeless shelter for someone to eat. Spend your money elsewhere

We went with a large group on a Saturday night and the wait wasn't bad. The chef had jokes, food was good, and we enjoyed the experience overall. The review is 4 stars because the food is ok. It's about the experience versus culinary awesomeness. We would go back though, and recommend to others looking for some fun with a group. FYI- As with most restaurants, the entire party needs to be present before they will seat you, and there are no reservations on Saturday's.
A dear friend took us for sushi and it was a delight. Hot sake and beers at our table. I had the miso soup and my friend got a handroll. Worth checking out for the interior design alone!
