Our family visited Pamir restaurant for dinner. Prior to our visit my wife wasn't sure that it is right choice, because she thought that it is one of many cheap and messy Afghan restaurants in Dandenong area. After our dinner her opinion was changed. First of all this restaurant has very nice authentic inner design. We choose Uzbek banquets and vegetarian one. We had salad, mantuu, sambosa and dips with Afghan bread... View all feedback.
What Dariana Pfannerstill doesn't like about Afghan Pamir Restaurant:
Delicious food with a good size vegetarian section that is about 50% vegan friendly (many dishes with yogurt) if you are ready to accept that you only have a diving option that is a tomato chili dip. Most dishes usually come with bread and diving to accompany the dish so that you lack a little. We had a very nice meal and the staff is super friendly and helpful. View all feedback.
Eating was cold and portions were really small. the prizes were ridiculously high. would never recommend to go there.
We loved everything about this place! this review is very late, and I feel guilty about how I wanted to do it as soon as I returned from my melbourne holiday (in februar 2020.) but Covid-19 and all that took with it and others worry. but delayed, although I must say that this was a pleasant experience that I am so happy to remember and do not forget. one we (about 45 minutes I think) drove from the city to dandenong with the train. but at the time we didn't know about this place, we actually believed it while we run the shops around there. what was so wonderful? well, it had ambience with a big a, was so artistically decorated and had so wonderful, authentic eating. usbekistan, only the name fascinates me and here I stumbled on this small doorway with the name pamir up, and almost innocuous usbek and Afghan food underneath. I almost didn't go in and wondered if it was worth going up the stairs. but despite the deceptive entry, this name beckoned. and we have gone up. so glad we did. Even as I went up, I noticed how clean it was, the beautiful decorations on the walls along the way and when we arrived at the top of the restaurant, it was amazing. how beautiful and fabulous it was! everything from the furniture to the furnishings, the cutlery and the scurry is all from Uzbekistan. it was so fascinating! and then eat it! what can I say the pictures can speak for themselves. we just loved it all. the rice with the special berries in it (unfortunately can not remember what kind of berries, but some exotic berries the kebabs so delicious, the freshest of salads, and the dips. we could not owe anything at all. I think they also had a weak soft music of their land in the background. what could you ask for more? a beautiful owner of the place. shahes a beautiful admirable woman who makes such a great task to run it all, despite an unexpected unhappiness that someone else could have at her place to close it. but she didn't run it efficiently, stoic and wonderfully and I for one, I am so grateful for it. I wish her and her fabulous restaurant all good. if they are in melbourne and feel fascinated by Central Asian countries and culture, please do one like to dandenong and visit them pamir, there is not too many as it is, it is one of the very best!
Great food, great service, highly recommended, happy to meet and chat with friendly owner; shahina. shakira is great in customer service.
This lovely restaurant on the top floor had a real feeling and eating and service was great. they were not about to be used for vegan and vegetarian. as vegan I had brot, dip, salat, rice, dhal and a cartoffel and aubergine dish. I'll take an evening.
I am regular here always visit because of their fresh food and freshly made Roti (bread) last visit was anything but fresh. Roti was old and hard, kebabs were not done properly and taste different. Will not go here again
