Was User at The Mariners a mag?
I stopped by the tavern after leaving the station while waiting for my ride. I tried two drinks and they were both quite refreshing. The other customers were friendly, and Jessica had a wonderful personality—she was very welcoming. As an American, I appreciated that she didn’t mind me playing Pink's music the whole time I was there. It’s a lovely spot and a great place for tourists looking to enjoy a good drink at a... What waldorf53 dislikes about The Mariners:
We were on a visit to Great Yarmouth on a steam train trip and visited a couple of pubs, both without much success. If you’re looking for a beer then you’ll be ok here but they certainly don’t cater for wine drinkers! View all feedback.

This pub has always been the best place in Yarmouth for beer with a warm and friendly atmosphere….that was before it changed hands!! The wonderfully knowledgeable barmaid has gone, the beer was unremarkable, tv blaring out 70s pop songs via intrusive videos, four staff milling about all looking out of sorts in a real ale pub. Word must have already got round that this pub was no longer a beer meca because the only other drinkers where on lager and fizzy pop!

This pub has been a highlight of many a drinker in Yarmouth. It clearly has atmosphere in spades and excellent beer. A tribute to the landlady. Well done.

Located in Great Yarmouth, this is a simple pub tucked away on a side street. They offer a good variety of draught beers. The regulars were welcoming and the atmosphere was pleasant. While nothing extraordinary, it's a decent spot to stop by for a casual drink or two.

I spent a week in Great Yarmouth and one of the highlights was visiting this restaurant (I ended up going three times). The staff and locals were incredibly welcoming, making us feel like regulars from the very first visit. They had a great selection of real ales from both local and across the country, ensuring a good balance and variety. The six real ales available were all very well-maintained, and my friends said the two real ciders were equally good. The décor was fantastic, with local pictures and memorabilia adding to the overall atmosphere. I can't imagine this pub getting any better, it was superb.

I had the opportunity to visit The Mariners several times during a week-long vacation in Great Yarmouth, and I must say that this is a wonderful establishment. They consistently offer a wide variety of real ales at affordable prices, with a welcoming staff and clientele. I highly recommend this pub if you are in the area.

Nestled away on a side street in Great Yarmouth, this charming pub remains a favorite destination for real ale lovers. Visitors consistently praise its extensive selection of well-maintained local and national ales, appreciated by both regulars and newcomers alike. The warm, inviting atmosphere is enhanced by friendly staff and locals who make every guest feel at home. While the pub's décor is filled with local memorabilia, the real stars are the superb beers and ciders on offer. For those seeking an authentic pub experience, this establishment stands as a must-visit spot in the area.

This is a spacious pub featuring eight hand pumps and a pool table. I highly recommend it!

I stopped by the tavern after leaving the station while waiting for my ride. I tried two drinks and they were both quite refreshing. As an American, I appreciated that she didn’t mind me playing Pink's music the whole time I was there. It’s a lovely spot and a great place for tourists looking to enjoy a good drink at a reasonable price. The coal stove was an added bonus, especially since it was quite chilly outside.

After a bit of trouble locating Cask-Ales in Gy, the Mariners met our needs perfectly. They offered a great selection, a friendly welcome, and a cozy fire.

A good old modelokal. real ales and more common, which are always well kept and often switched for diversity. who serves them is friendly and open to request. they have taste pots if they are not safe before buying. often an open fire in winter. an oasis for real Al enthusiasts.

Incredible curry night!! Great choice of ales and lovely staff, with a cosy fireplace. Wouldn't go anywhere else in Great Yarmouth this place is all I need.
