We called here today for a coffee and a snack whilst walking on the beach. The cafe was really busy but we got a seat outside with our little dog. A dog water bowl was provided. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed inside. There is a unisex toilet inside available to customers. We ordered a coffee and scone and a bottle of sparkling water it was just under £10.00. The fruit scone was lovely. Service was quick and effic... View all feedback.
What Abbie T doesn't like about Jay Jays At The Beach Cafe:
Popped into here just after 12 yesterday to grab a coffee and what a delight that was. It looked like the team had been asked to work a 17 hour shift on a bank holiday weekend, the atmosphere was awful! No smiles, no friendliness, just a sea of miserable faces. As we were packing up to go the chef then decided to parade around the cafe floor before resting his elbows on the counter- along with the other girls working... View all feedback.
Loved this place. It's the perfect beach cafe a real gem. Coffee is top notch. The fresh cake and cookie selection is nothing short of spectacular. The staff are so attentive one saw my mum queuing for the toilet and said she could use the staff one instead (wow! . All this on their busy fete day too. Amazing.

It was a joke in all honesty but then so was the coffee!!
Lovely cafe right by the beach. We stopped for a coffee, cake and ice cream for the dogs. They do have a larger menu with a lot more food that looked really good. The cake was lovely, the coffees were great although my mum had an iced coffee and said it was way too sweet. I think they add Syrup to it so if you don't like sweet coffee I'd ask for it without. It is abit pricey, but it is a large slice of cake. We didn't finish ours so maybe share one slice between 2

AVOID AVOID AVOID…….I visited recently visited here on a warm day in June with my husband, brother in law and sister in law. We spent around £50 on lunch and some soft drinks. Food was good…we were having a lovely time until I needed the toilet. There was a queue outside the cafe as there is only one toilet and it’s not restricted anyway to customers only, so people coming off the beach were queuing to use it. I was literally screamed at by a by a large gentle behind the counter for where I was standing waiting for the toilet. There was no where else to stand! It was very distressing and quite upsetting to be spoken to in that way. If they’re frustrated with people using the toilet then they need to restrict the use to paying customers only and not abuse their paying customers. Safe to say we won’t be returning.
