Shoshaku is a Chinese-run Japanese sushi restaurant with no sushi bar, only tables. Omakase is served all at once, sushi is thinly cut. The Black Cod takeout was disappointing. Some patrons got sick from the food. Service was slow due to limited staff. However, the food quality is high, especially the 3x3 nigiri and the set for 2. The Good Call roll is a standout. California and Shrimp Tempura Rolls are recommended. Overall, a gem worth visiting with great service and fresh sushi. The Kani Salad was the only letdown. Located near USMMA, clean and welcoming with knowledgeable servers.
The food was delicious and affordable, featuring creative combinations. The service was excellent—warm, friendly, and fast—making for a very enjoyable experience.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The fish was incredibly fresh and clearly of the highest quality, imported directly from Tokyo. I've been to many other Japanese restaurants, both in this country and during my travels in Japan, and this one offers the most authentic experience—it's very much like the food you actually eat in Japan. I will definitely be returning!
As one of only two non-Asians in the restaurant, we had certain expectations about how we would be treated. However, our experience was quite pleasant. We were greeted and promptly asked if we wanted drinks. Our order was taken efficiently, and the food was fantastic. The kani salad was amazing, and the two rolls I tried were fresh and on par with the best I've had. We'll definitely be returning soon!
