Matsuya Japanese - Great Neck Plaza

We celebrated my son's birthday at this sushi restaurant and it was a very special and delicious experience. This is our favorite sushi spot because they serve the most tasty fish and generous portions. We want to congratulate and thank Ben and Linda for their excellent service.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant in Tokyo. Sitting at the sushi counter, I ordered the omakase menu from Chef Shoji. It was like heaven on earth.

Food was not as good as it should be. Won‘t go back again.

We came when they were pretty much closing (sorry, staff! food was pretty good and cocktails were amazing. They took good care of us and the food was really fresh. I would definitely go back again! It’s a pretty good sushi spot!

If you're not a regular here your service may be lackluster, like ours. Our sushi sat on the bar while the employees were busy sucking up to the regulars. The food, however, made it all worthwhile. Just delicious, best by far in the area. Sushi is terrific, good sized portions and excellent flavors. I can see why there are regulars! But we're not around enough to become one, so we'll put up with it when we are and eat the great food.
