Our waiter was not very educated with their menu and did not come back to our table once we got our food. We waited for 30 min for our check and another 20 for him to come back to give us change. they only excepted cash) when I asked the hostess if I could check out with her she rudely insisted I should just wait longer. Unfortunately the food really wasnt that great for the prices either.
Good food. Only place in cascade county that has rocky mountain oysters
The restaurant had just opened up the week I went in it’s new location, now I have never been to old location so I cannot speak for how it may have been or tasted there but, the night me and my wife went, we decided to call ahead make reservations since I was sure they would be busy and it was for a pretty late time, so we arrive and it was pretty dead, like 3 tables seated no one being waited on. Maybe they died down we don’t know. But we ordered we got the fried pickle spears and they where fantastic, so we were really thinking it would be a great place and we then both ordered our steaks, a salad and mashed potatoes (the same meal really) and 40 minutes went by and nothing came, the waitress came back and said the kitchen LOST or forgot our order and reordered, then our salad came out and I kid you not, it was bag salad straight from Walmart, NEVER WASHED OR ANYTHING, just straight bag salad. Then we get our steak less than 2 minutes of our salad arriving, I cut in my steak, same for the wife and both under cooked but since we already lost confidence in this place we didn’t say anything, the steaks where not seasoned, i don’t know if this steak house believes the ground the cows eat on seasons their cattle but I can personally tell you IT DOESN’T, not even salt and pepper. I then realized pushing through eating my steak, the chefs CUT my steak down the middle to see if it was the correct temperature inside, WHAT STEAKHOUSE WOULD DO THAT?? Blew my mind. Also to add that this is the old On The Border restaurant building and it was nice to see that in the months that they have had it, they put next to ZERO updating in it and you’re eating at a steak house that has a Mexican feel to it. Hugely disappointed and will probably never go back unless they get it together, I will never believe what a local of Great Falls believes is a good restaurant, someone from the outside let me know how it gets.
We're new to Great Falls so you guys really need to update your address on Google and your website. Very unprofessional and unsmart business sense to not have updated location information on website. We brought in some guys from out of town and it was literally the worse steak any of us have EVER eaten. 3 ordered the buffalo steak, 1 ordered the prime rib and 1 ordered the strip..all medium rare. All the steaks except the strip and prime rib came out almost rare...they forgot the blue cheese and peppercorn butter on mine. They took my steak back globbed a huge chunk of the butter on and sent it right back out..didn't let it melt at all. The 3 buffalo steaks were all sent back..they PUT THEM IN THE OVEN to cook them to medium rare and I know this because my fiance's butten off piece was still in the same spot on the skillet. Now they were not only overcooked but on a steaming hot plate. The steaks all had no flavor at all...for the first time I had to put salt..on a steak...at a steakhouse....the salad bar and server were good, however, being a prior server, when your restuarant is only able to accept cash..please don't rely on a hostess to tell your guests/tables so if cash is not accessible as (some pay with credit cards for business purposes), guests know ahead of time before they order. We're steak lovers, but I made strips last night on my Traeger that would have out done any of these steaks 100%. For the money spent tonight..I could have bought rib eye caps at Sam's and called it good. Not sure if we'll be back. Definitely not worth the money spent. When food is sent back...the manager should always go to the table...y'all definitely need a new cook cause whomever cooked tonight sucked...sorry but they just did.
The bar tender was nice. Can't say much about the food, ordered and was told to get the salad bar with the meal instead of the dinner salad. Came back from getting our salads and were told the cook would not cook our meals. Salad and drinks were free. Went to Mackenzie River Pizza andhad an awesome meal!!!
