Lovely owners, if you need something just ask. Food is good, not high cuisine but decent food nevertheless. Rooms are nice, what you'd expect so not very high end. Free wifi, main attraction is beautiful location and setting. Highly recommend to try out great barrier and the lodge is a good place to start! They are also well stocked for packaged food and beverages but don't expect cooked dinner unless prearranged Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5
We had a large group of happy go lucky males from the deep south staying 3 nights with Jason and his crew. The hospitality was exceptional right from bags down as we eased into Island life. No fishing on day two so we took Jason up on his offer of an Island tour in his 20 seater bus. Windy Canyon was the first destination , A steep stair climb was rewarded by fantastic views and a debrief before heading off to the lunch spot. A tasty packed lunch and chilled down beers set us up to head off to the next surprise , (Ask Jase about his Tangi Tours) , we didn't last long there before heading back to the lodge for an afternoon in the sun on the newly built rear deck. The food from the kitchen was delicious and well timed as we laughed the hours away leading up to the rugby match where we were joined by some of the locals. Thank you very much Jason and team , everyone had an exceptional time. We'll bring the wives and kids back next time! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
