Gates Au Sable Lodge - Grayling

Only went to restaurant, it was great! Good beer choices and full bar as well.. someone in my party really liked the margarita!Big menu where everyone can find something, and dog-friendly patio!

We ate at the restaurant for a birthday dinner, party of 8. Pulling up it doesn't strike you as a fantastic place to eat but boy is it! The service was great. The food was amazing. Loved the menu selections. They make craft cocktails. It's the total package. I highly recommend Gates. The place is very small so call ahead. Not a fancy joint but 1st class all the way!!Food drinks: You have to try it!!!! Well worth the drive

Just finished dinner at the Gates Restaurant. What an exceptional menu. Highly recommend the Michigan Salad as a starter. Jonathon was exceptionally professional and helpful as our host. We grabbed a breakfast and lunch menu for future visits!!!Service: 5/5

Was here a few times in the late 80s and met Rusty. My dad knew this was the place to go to learn what was happening on the river. We would buy some flies and head off to our cabin on the Au Sable. My dads dad (John Yarbrough) was known for his flys he created and sold back in the day (50s 60s) and Rusty remembered him well. So blessed to be a part of this history. Sorry to hear we lost Rusty. He knew his stuff and we appreciated him.

Just celebrated our anniversary at Gates Ausable Lodge restaurant. We couldn't have had a more pleasurable experience. Our server Johnathan was warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable of everything they serve. The drinks were imaginative and the food was impeccable. A most perfect celebration. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
