Lovely local Thamesside pub. Traditional, welcoming. Good sunday lunches, plentiful well cooked. Bit surprised to see they do tapas nights but if and when they do I'm sure it will be good stuff. Look at their facebook page for the latest .. View all feedback.
What ken southern doesn't like about The Ship Lobster:
We are a regular small group of walkers. We arrived by car from our walk in Cobham, chosen as the reviews here were so good.Sorry to say we were very disappointed. The building is in a poor state of repair and the inside very scruffy with the dirtiest carpet I have seen for many a year. The locals were friendly as was the bar lady. Lovely food dinner with family I had ribs and desert 5 star was delicious... I also come down for the special on Wednesdays which was home made beef stew and dumplings...yummy Lovely atmosphere friendly staff and customers Lovely views of the river ideal for walkers to have rest to great selection of beers and ales oh and doggy friendly
Dickensian Thames estuary pub on the coastal path from the marshes to Gravesend. Very friendly welcoming staff, delicious real ale. The freshly cooked beer battered cod with hand cut chips and large helpings of mushy peas is recommended. Freindly locals and clean loos. Well worth visiting if you are in the area.
Yet again another wonderful and delicious Sunday lunch!! Karen,Amelia and the wonderful Lizzie made it so special. Very attentive and very welcoming, as if we had neen invited to mums for dinner! Piping hot and such generous portions!!! When they brought the cake out for us the whole pub joined in with happy birthday ! It was lovely! Thank you again ladies! See you again soon x
We were walking the England Coast Path to here and taking a train back from Gravesend. Very helpful and friendly staff called us a taxi. A pub with very welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
Most amazing hidden pun in Gravesend, Liz and the staff are the most friendliest people you will find and my god the food is amazing
