Promenade Cafe
Description
The Promenade Café offers a mixed dining experience, situated in a picturesque park by the water. While many patrons praise the delightful atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious, varied menu—especially the impressive breakfasts and enticing ice cream—some unsettling incidents have marred its reputation. Reports of poor food safety practices and lack of compassion during service challenges raise concerns. Despite these issues, regular visitors appreciate the café’s affordable options and family-friendly offerings, making it a convenient stop for both relaxation and refreshments. Overall, the café holds potential for enjoyable meals, provided the service and food quality are consistently upheld.

Today, we took a walk along the promenade and decided to stop at the cafe for a meal. It was a delightful experience. We had been there before and once again, the toasted sandwiches and cheesy chips were delicious. We also enjoyed a chocolate milkshake and some Kelly's ice cream as a special treat while we strolled along the river. Thanks to all the staff for making it a lovely experience.
This restaurant never disappoints me or my family. The food is beautiful and the service is great, all in a lovely setting in a park by the water. My wife and I had the full English breakfast, which was exceptional in quality and portion size. Our kids enjoyed their burgers and chips, one beef and one chicken. After our meal, we all had delicious ice cream. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.
Disgusting I ordered a chicken burger and within the first bite knew that something was off when I turn the burger around the back of the burger was covered in green mold after that I didn’t eat for hours worst experience I’ve ever had.
What a stunning venue for gravesend the best cafe the best position the best food the best ice cream the best staff best value for money when local is the place to be especially the chocolate cornets I love em
As we waited in line, it was obvious that despite having a large number of staff on duty, they lacked motivation. This lack of enthusiasm was clear when we observed one of the cooks eating while cooking sausages, licking her fingers, and cleaning her nails over the grill. We decided not to dine there due to this concerning behavior, as did the couple in front of us. On a positive note, they offer delicious ice cream and Golden Wonder crisps. However, while their Trip Advisor profile mentions vegan options, it was not specified on the menu. I suspect they only offer a veggie burger and chips, which may not be cooked separately from meat items.
