Restaurant très bien placé en bord de lac avec une grande terrasse avec moustiquaires et show nautique plusieurs fois par mois en été. Repas très fin.
Our first time at this restaurant, will definitely not be our last. The view alone out onto the lake is breathtaking but the experience didn't end there. The bruschetta was very good, but the grilled calamari was to die for. So much flavour. The only way to really experience calamari, way better than the fried and battered one. The mains were all outstanding. I ordered the beef medallion and it was so flavourful. One of the best steaks I have ever eaten. My wife had the sea bass which was flaky, flavourful an cooked perfectly. My daughter had the pasta with shrimps and scallops, again cooked perfectly. Then came dessert which took the meal to another level. Absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back.
I met with friends at the waterside deck and enjoyed the setting sun on Muskoka Bay. I had an unusual Asian pasta dish with loads of calimari. it was terrific and had been preceded by seafood chowder ( recomend) and followed by a wonderful key lime desert. What could be better? Service was first class.Bring sunglasses an a hat if you face the setting sun and maybe a jacket if there is a breeze.
We had an amazing dinner that was complete with fantastic food and great, friendly service. Dennis chatted us up from behind the bar because we were too early for our reservation. Once our table was ready Dillon looked after us with a smile and great service. The soup, main course and dessert were perfect. This was part of our 1st anniversary vacation celebration and was definitely a highlight. Thank you so much for making our evening!!
Great lunch. The meatloaf Sammie was excellent. The steak slider was almost as good. Great view, great spot in Muskoka.
Dock of the Bay in Gravenhurst offers a mix of experiences based on different customer reviews. While some diners enjoyed the waterfront view and fantastic service, others found the food mediocre and service lacking. The setting is beautiful and portions plentiful, but flavors can be hit or miss. Excellent desserts and standout dishes like grilled calamari elevate the experience for many. Service quality varied with some patrons praising attentive servers while others had mixed interactions. Overall, the restaurant seems to have potential with some areas needing improvement, making it a destination worth revisiting for some patrons.

$68 for what seemed to be a frozen steak. Very bad quality steak for a “Steak House “ Charge Top Dollars.
Excellent food and service for our very large soup. Everyone loved their meals. The staff was really friendly. Prices were appropriate for the quality of food. We had a great time and would definitely return.
Our food was excellent! My husband ordered a steak on her point, and I ordered linguine pescatori. All their ingredients perfectly cooked! We loved the romantic and quiet atmosphere. Location in the waterfront is fantastic. The only thing was that we got our bill without asking for it, and we cost a drink for our entries. Definitely highly recommend it for a nice dinner and / or celebration! Thank you.

Wow If you’re African decent don’t go there. we had come in for a dinner and drinks. We were told they couldn’t seat us because we had no reservation....
Food was excellent, server was awesome and the feel of the place comfortable and second to none
We love this amazing restaurant, the stunning views, the delicious food, the friendly staff and especially our friends Wayne, Kay and Chef Darren!!!!...
I absolutely loved this place! Had a wonderful table out on the patio watching a spectacular storm over the lake, sipping a great glass of red,...

I wish there was an option for a negative 5 star rating for the rude and unacceptable behaviour of the staff here. Not only did they ruin my experience of the amazing lake view. I faced some subtle racism on their part. Steer clear of this place. Service: Dine in
An average restaurant with a high price tag. We had lunch here and ordered Ahi Tuna Poke and Glass noodle chicken salad bowl. The food tastes OK (about average), however, the two items are overpriced for the portion served. The tuna poke comes with 2 bao buns sutffed with tuna and pickled vege+taro chips. With appetizers charged average between $20-25, it's reasonable to expect the portion to match with the price tag. We will detour to other restaurants in the future.
They fit us in for a dinner reservation and we had a cute booth. Delicious wine and dinner, very quick, professional and attentive service.
The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $90–100.
Wonderful place by the lake. Great ambience. Food is great as well. Perfect place to take a breather.

Fabulous food, ambiance and service! The steaks and pasta were delicious cooked to perfection with generous portions! The restaurant is our family's favourite spot!! You can't go wrong!
Really great food and lovely patio over looking the water, but our waitress Grace was completely rude. I never write negative reviews, and I’m someone who has worked in the service industry so I understand how tough it can be. I consider myself patient and understanding, I’m not a demanding patron. My daughter was brought the incorrect dish. Who cares? It happens. She ordered fish n chips and instead got chicken. We politely told the waitress upon her return with other dishes for our table. she insisted “No. you ordered Chicken” we politely said “No. she ordered fish n chips” … fine. The correct dish was brought out within minutes. No apology from her which I found rude. Whatever. All good. Then she seemed to ignore our table and took extra long with getting us the bill- maybe she had too many tables on the go. My family left. I stayed to wait and pay. She finally brings the bill after I had to ask, but doesn’t bring the payment machine with her and tells me she’s going to clean the table first before she goes to get the machine. The table was full of dishes. So now I’m waiting again. She takes everything away and I wait. Then more minutes go by. she brings the machine over to me. I was starting to get perturbed now, but I was never rude or showed my displeasure. I still tipped her $46 (15% I’m not a person who feels comfortable leaving less, no matter how bad the service, but I immediately regretted it. She handed me the receipt and didn’t even say “thank you” “have a great day” “goodbye” nothing. So obnoxious. If I could take a tip back, I would. Great restaurant, but not a great experience.
After having enjoyed a cruise on the lake, we headed out for dinner at ‘The Dock of the Bay’ on the waterfront. So glad we opted to sit outside initially still very warm and sunny but it clouded over and became breezy. Glad we had additional layers. Our highly accomplished and very personable server, Melanie, made us feel very welcome and was happy to chat a while despite the fact that the restaurant was very busy. We both went for pasta options the linguine pescatori and scallops and shrimps with goat’s cheese and spinach in a rich and well balanced tomato and rocket pesto sauce. The food was excellent although the quantities beat us. We had just enough room left to have a white chocolate creme brûlée. It was a great meal, raised to a higher dining experience by our charming server. Great value considering the prime location. Come hungry with the size of some of the meals coming out you won’t leave hungry.
At beginning of season, Wayne and staff accommodated our big group despite uncertain numbers. Every interaction was friendly, welcoming, and professional. When we arrived, staff were excellent, food was oh-so-delicious, view was great. Everyone in our group was very happy with their meals and experience. I highly recommend Dock of the Bay.
Fantastic welcoming service from the time you call to your service at the table. Great family run restaurant. The service is very professional and friendly. We stayed in the area for two nights and went twice to the restaurant!

An amazing start of the vacation. The patio is nice; welcoming staff at the front. Make sure to reserve in advance if visiting during the weekend. Food was very good; staff made great recommendations too. Even though they ran out on the local beer, it did not change the experience. Staff was very professional and not pushy. Loved it and will be back!
I felt relaxed sitting by the lake and enjoying the beautiful boats and water, while also savoring the delicious food. I especially enjoyed the chicken salad. However, I found the steak to be too expensive. There were many people drinking, laughing, and chatting. Overall, it was a beautiful day!
This restaurant comes highly recommended by locals and it certainly lived up to the hype. Myles provided excellent service and the food was delicious. The creme brulée was one of the best I've ever had. I also enjoyed a tasty whiskey sour cocktail. The views from the restaurant were beautiful.
This restaurant is a great spot with outdoor seating right by the water. Even without a reservation, we were able to be seated at a lovely table outside around noon on a Saturday. The server was extremely polite, professional, and gave us excellent recommendations. The food was delicious, though there were limited vegetarian options available. Thankfully, they were willing to modify certain dishes to accommodate our vegetarian preferences, which was a plus for those looking for meat-free options. While it is on the pricier side, the quality of the food may make it worth the cost. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely be returning.
When in Gravenhurst we always go to this restaurant for a meal. Love the location by the wharf on the water. The view and the ambiance is just lovely. Was there couple weeks ago with family /friends and once again the food did not disappoint. I had the salmon with black rice and my hubby had the steak. Since then I went looking for black rice to replicate at home. The service was awesome our male server was so attentive and of course happily took a picture of us. Going there again early next month and for sure we will be dining at the Dock Of The Bay!

Wow!!! What an amazing meal. I kicked things off with a Muskoka lager to awaken my taste buds. I ordered the scallops and shrimp pasta, and it was outstanding! The scallops and shrimp were both large and flavorful. I paired my meal with a glass of red wine. For dessert, I enjoyed a two-layer lemon cake topped with a blueberry-infused ganache, which was excellent! The server was attentive without being intrusive. I can't believe this place only has a 3.5-star rating. It's a shame we’re living in this uninspired generation post-COVID.
I've always enjoyed my meals at Dock of the Bay. It's unfortunate that they close for the winter, but I'm eager for their reopening in the spring.
We visited this restaurant while passing through Gravenhurst, and we had an amazing experience. As for the food, we ordered the Dock Side Burger and Rainbow...
Great place with good service to have a meal. With outdoor seating on the lake this is a place worth having a meal.
