Four of us had excellent 23.50 euros 3 course menu with good choices and a very nice Provencal rose wine. The restaurant is situated at the top end of the Place . The interior had an arched dining room which looked cosy for a cooler...evening. I didn't think the toilet was dirty. View all feedback.
What Charlotte Joly doesn't like about Le Rendez-Vous:
my wife and I came up with only one other table. five or six tables arrived, all natives seemed to it, and only one was served before us. it seemed that local customers were given priority over us. we waited a very long time between. other reviewers have reported similar experiences. very disappointed by this rude behavior! We experienced very good service, great starters, average main course and very good ice cream. The resturant is located in the more quiet, not so busy, part of the square.
Set on the main square in the old town, this is one of many restaurants around the square. We picked it because of A) The menu looked good. B) The place was near full when we arrived at 12.30andeverywhere else looked largely empty. This place remained full all through lunch and turned table over everywhere else remained largely empty. We missed out on the first Plat du jour, a popular Beef en daube but replaced with chicken dish and delicious sauce & fries. We were advised to order more fries if we wished which was a nice touch but not needed as portions were more than adequate.Bread of course came at the start, we ordered a half litre of house red that was very drinkable and a good coffee to finish - all up 40 euros.Service was good despite being very busy. Would return anytime.
We were recommended to this restaurant but we left after 30min because no service was provided to us. We were completed ignored in spite of requesting more than 3 times for the menu to be brought to us. Sure, they were busy, but they could have been better organised and more polite. We ended up getting up to retrieve the menu ourselves, but after another 10min of zero service and invisible treatment, we left.
Situated at the top end of the square in the old town of Grasse, this is a surprising find. Other restaurants here are very touristy and expensive for what you get. Le Rendez-vous, however, is actually rather good and very reasonably priced. Service is very friendly, food is good (portion sizes are also quite generous). Omelette and frites for €11, and very tasty. Would certainly visit again.
A great location on the main square in this pretty town. Family friendly and fantastic staff. Our waitress even deboned my sons fish; where else would you get service like this. The food was excellent, I had the duck and goats cheese salad, the family had the speciality fish called loupe and risotto, whilst others had hamburger or salmon. In summary, affordable prices, good food and great service, (even the toilets are spotless), a must to have lunch!
