Description

Dining experiences at this restaurant appear to be hit or miss. While some guests laud the fried chicken for its juicy, crispy perfection and highlight the organic ingredients used, others lament over poorly executed dishes, such as subpar burgers and over-dressed salads. Complaints include unappealing textures and overwhelming flavors, with some side dishes leaving much to be desired. Though the atmosphere can be lively and casual, long wait times and overcrowding have detracted from the overall experience for many. Ultimately, it remains a place where quality and satisfaction can vary greatly, leaving diners with mixed feelings.

The fried chicken which is one of the main dishes, is disappointing and pretty lousy and not worth it actually. KFC or Popeyes makes better fried chicken if that's even a measure. If you leave your chicken for 10-20 minutes, as in take it to go, you couldn't even eat it cause it's frozen chicken that becomes rubber when it gets to room temperature. Too much rubbery fat too. They have strange hours, never know when they decide to close on a moment's notice, just because it's slow or they feel like it.

The young staff do a fantastic job with their menu. The hot, crispy, and juicy fried chicken served with cornbread and house-made sesame slaw was a standout dish. My friends both ordered the fried chicken sandwich with homemade fries, and they couldn't have been happier. It's a great complement to enjoy alongside the excellent beers at Rampart Valley Brewing.

It was likely one of the worst burgers and salads I've ever had. The salad was essentially a bowl of ranch dressing with large chunks of lettuce that were impossible to eat. The burger was overcooked, and frankly, I could have gotten a better one at Burger King.

I want to love this place but there is consistently something that happens between the people behind me that get their meal first when we just order fries, to burnt poutine, etc. Initially great to when they first opened....

Very casual dining in a space shared with Grass Valley Brewing. Good selection of beers and decent pub food. The fried chicken plate was really quite good, juicy on the inside, crisp on the outside. I really liked the vinegar based cole slaw and crispy cornbread sides. We dined on a Sunday and there was a pretty good jazz ensemble playing from 4-6 pm.
