The Cali burrito was quite good, but the flautas were a bit mushy on the inside, possibly due to the ride from Grass Valley to Penn Valley. The rice was rather bland, and while the crispy tacos were passable, the shells didn't hold up during the trip. It likely would have been better to enjoy these at Maya's.
The chimichangas were quite large and delicious. I appreciated that they kept the sour cream and guacamole separate to maintain the crispiness of the chimi. However, I usually expect roasted pork from Mexican restaurants to be well-cooked, tender, and shredded, but this one was not as tender as I would have liked. Overall, it was still a good dish.
I ordered a Chimichanga with Pork in green sauce. At first I thought Wow it's heavy and thought this is Great! When I cut into it all I found was Rice and it must have been a whole pan full of rice I know there must have been beans in there but I couldn't find it because there was so much rice. There was maybe 4 pieces of pork and the whole thing was full of red sauce! Red sauce really makes my stomach sick so I couldn't even eat it. Almost $24 dollars this Sasquatch of rice cost me!
