Our room was thoughtfully designed, tastefully decorated, and everything worked perfectly! The bed was very comfortable, which was great for my bad back. Our dinner was also excellent, both in terms of the food and the service. The only downside—which wouldn’t deter us from returning—was that the connection between the bar and dining area made it a bit loud. However, it wasn’t worse than many restaurants today.

What Madeline Metolius doesn't like about Holbrooke:
The beautiful bathrooms, featuring period-accurate clawfoot tubs, are stunning, but I would recommend choosing a room with a modern shower instead, as those appear to have better and more reliable water pressure. Additionally, the temperature is controlled for each floor rather than for individual rooms. We found it comfortable, but it might be a bit chilly for some at night.

Unfortunately, I believe we?ve stayed our last stay at The Holbrooke this last Saturday night. We unknowing booked our rooms at the same time as a wedding. The wedding was beautiful we wish the couple lots of happiness. However, it would have been great if we were warned that this large event was happening before we booked. The warning should've included: beware-you will notsleep during your stay; your room walls, floor, toilet seat will all bounce and vibrate due to the music, yelling, and singingon the floor below; you will not have access to all of the hotel amenities; the wedding guests will eventually fill the hallsof the second floor to carry on the party after the reception without any consideration from them and/or the hotel staff. TheHolbrooke will apologize in the morning and say they are aware of the issue and are working on it. That they are 150 years oldand only 28 rooms. You?ll note on their website there isn?t TVs in the rooms. As they do not want any guests to be disturbed bythe noise. You?ll lay in bed that night and think to yourself ?Did I really just pay $300+ for my room several more hundredeating here?? Had the Holbrooke given the ?warning? that there is a large event booked, would you like to pick another weekend?Or how about, we have a few discounted rooms if you would like to join us for a sleepless night. It would be a different storyand we would happily return for another stay.
Wow what a hotel, what a bar, and what a great breakfast. Seriously some of the best cocktails I?ve ever had, a great beer selection, and immaculate food. I went when there was a concert inside the dinning hall. The rooms feel fancy

Making reservations and checking in was quick and easy. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Overall, the Holbrooke exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be back!
This is a beautifully renovated historic hotel that has maintained its charming historical ambiance and features. The room was very clean, and the staff were quite helpful. The location is perfect for accessing the city and its services. We particularly enjoyed the swing chairs on our private deck. While we didn’t receive the king suite we had reserved, our stay was still pleasant.
My wife and the couple we were with had a great time searching for ghosts. My wife and I even spent the night in room 9, which is said to be the most haunted. Overall, we all enjoyed our experience…
