our family had a really great time! I saw many crooks complaining about the “snow snow” tree labyrinth after, so we just skipped it and hit the mass to get our photo with santa! my children loved every moment, it was magical for them. They have their jingle bells since, so that is .... fun. haha! not sure why people say there were no songs, no cookies, no chocolate milk drink? we all had that. frau claus and the Chri... What User doesn't like about North Pole Express:
Compared to other authentic Polar Express experiences, this restaurant is overpriced and clearly focused on maximizing profit. The experience only lasts for 45 minutes (to accommodate more trips per day), lacks any affiliation with the Polar Express brand (resulting in poorer music and no historical significance), and they don't even provide lyrics for the songs (making it difficult to remember the words). My grandsons ages 4 and 6 absolutely loved riding the train, they loved looking out at the forest and creeks. As we chugged along we sang songs, listened to ring our bells, cookies and chocolate milk for all in a souvenir mug. They loved the crafts, and Santa and Mrs. Clause, for children it was a 10 star event, and that’s what it is, an event for children, not meant to entertain adults.
I was extremely underwhelmed by the experience. My six year old was extremely excited to start but that faded as the ride went on. After the ride was over we walked through the forest and that was it… the end. We’ve had many people tell us about the whole experience they had when they’ve gone in the past and it felt like the company decided to just save money this year and cheapen the experience. The train car was nice. Santa and Mrs. Claud were nice. The views were of trailers that aren’t well kept, warehouses, homes in need of some TLC, and some trees.I wouldn’t suggest that anyone pay $35-40 a person for this experience until they add the ending pieces back onto the event.
This was extremely underwhelming. I would recommend the polar express train in Palestine I believe a much better polar express experience. This train is not a polar express train- no hot chocolate and the story isn't read- it wasn't fun, we basically sat there for 40 minutes watching Mrs. Clause go up and down the isles. There's nothing to see outside the train except factories. At the end, when we got off, we received cold chocolate milk. Also, Santa actually argued very rudely and with all our kids in front of him- with my elderly mother about pictures. It was preposterous and absolutely ruined the experience we spent $700 on.Do not waste your time here; there are much better Christmas experiences in nearby towns.
My kids loved it, we as a family had a great time. Word of advice....get there at least an hour prior to boarding. Parking fills up quick. We made it with minutes to spare. And when the schedule time for departure comes there is no stopping or getting on. Safety is a top priority.
