Mrs. Gs tacos was great! My kiddos and husband and I were here first thing at 7 am after staying at great wolf lodge for some amazing breakfast tacos. The service was prompt, the tacos were AMAZING and overall it was a great experience- not to mention the chocolate covered pretzels that we got for dessert. This guy goes to the Houston nutcracker market every year and is famous for his chocolate covered apples. There'... View all feedback.
What Jennifer M doesn't like about Mrs. G's Tacos:
I got the miga tacos and the tortillas are no longer homemade and the ends are hard. The inside (migas) are bland have no flavor at all. This was a great place pre-COVID not so much anymore won't be going back. The other Taco was greasy berry little meat for the cost. Also meat tasted old could not even eat it. View all feedback.
I really loved this place. Everyone was so friendly and the food was awesome and homemade! Five stars all around.
Best tacos ever guisado and beans are my favorite and the best salsa with the homemade flour tortillas love this place and so does my husband stops there at 3 days of the week.
Very nice, clean, well ran small restaurant. The owner was very sweet and kind and also addressed everyone by first name which is very rare nowadays. The tacos well priced and were good but on the smaller side. Overall it was a positive morning breakfast before heading back to SAN ANTONIO.
I 'm new to Grapevine and stopped in this morning because of the sign outside that said, handmade tortillas , I was not disappointed! I grew up in Oak Cliff and have family in San Antonio where there are a lot of good Tex/Mex restaurants. The barbacoa tacos I ordered reminded of barbacoa you would find in San Antonio! I 'll definitely be back.
This is a museum of old school border flavors. No corners cut. No dilution. This is how it used to be. Don't be fooled by the humility. They are working way harder (and paying way more for ingredients) than they need to. This is a labor of love.
