The menu is varied, with options for everyone, and the servers offer solid recommendations. The dishes range from pasta to elk, with standout items like the salmon with lemon risotto and homemade ice cream. The restaurant sources clean, local ingredients and offers a creative and artistic dining experience. The wine list is extensive, and the charcuterie and cheese platter is a must-try. Overall, Great Scott is a gem in the DFW area, offering a top-quality dining experience at a moderate price point.
First timer there and it was not disappointed. the menu is varied with something for everyone. rachel is a large server and has made solid recommendations. we are happy to find this neighboring restaurant and will be back!
Eating was great, except the ribeye, that was chewing and not good taste except sauce above. the selection of the charcuterie was wonderful!
Excellent! that is a real cook inspired restaurant. the food is excellent and creatiw. there are very few restaurants in the opposite, where eating is “artistic” and delicious. the wine list has great selection at different price points. I'll be back in a moment.
We really enjoyed our dining experience at Great Scott. We gave it four stars overall due to the fact that they ran out of their Texas Cut of the Day so we were unable to order it. This is to be expected as all their foods are locally sourced and they strive to serve clean food (no hormones, antibiotics, etc. . It 's probably our fault they ran out before we could order since we spent over an hour indulging on the fabulous charcuterie and cheese platter! They make all their charcuterie in house and it does not disappoint! Our server was great. He was informative, unobtrusive but always aware of when were in need of attention. We will be going back for sure!
We've been three times in the last two months. Food came out a bit slower than what we experienced before, but when it did come, it was scrumptious. My wife is a huge fan of their cocktails and the chef's board is a great way to start a meal. The chef had sweetbreads with a lemon/wine/cream sauce on that evening's menu and it was exceptional. While we were there for regular dinner, happy hour is one of the best deals in DFW. It's a 90 minute drive one way for us so we're only there if we have other business in Dallas, but there's a reason we've gone back as frequently as we have.
