Description
A lively neighborhood Italian delivers soulful soups, robust pasta, generous grated parmesan and standout desserts—think exceptional minestrone, tasty meatballs and chocolate cannoli. Service is warm and attentive, indoor seating is plentiful, parking is convenient and takeout is well packed. Minor drawbacks include uneven seasoning and portion sizes, occasional presentation lapses, a drafty dining room and a 4% credit-card fee. Overall, it’s a cozy, popular spot worth returning to for classic Italian comfort food.

I had an amazing experience at this Italian restaurant! I stopped in for the lunch specials and ordered the spaghetti with beef meatballs, which were absolutely delicious—the sauce was fantastic. For dessert, we indulged in chocolate cannoli filled with chocolate chips and drizzled with chocolate sauce. It was heavenly! The restaurant has plenty of seating indoors, and there's a spacious parking lot in the back. They also pack your takeout really well, but we chose to dine inside since it was hot and smoky outside. Overall, a wonderful meal!
The minestrone soup was exceptional—perhaps the best I've ever had—but it could use just a touch less salt. The salad was impressive and enjoyable. I appreciate that they serve olive oil and balsamic vinegar with the bread at the beginning, but the experience would be enhanced if they used sourdough bread instead of French, and served it toasted rather than cold. The lasagna had fantastic flavor but could use a bit more meat, while the Alfredo could benefit from additional garlic and salt. On a positive note, the customer service was excellent, and the restaurant itself was very clean. If the portion sizes were larger and there were slight adjustments to the seasoning, particularly with garlic and salt, I would easily give this place five stars. I'm still eager to recommend it to friends and family, and we will definitely be returning. Also, the iced tea is incredibly addictive for some reason! Just a tip: bring cash to avoid a 4% fee for credit card transactions.
It's pricey but it's Italian so that's what to expect. I only tried spaghetti and Alfredo. It was ok! I send my husband when I'm having cravings. The customer service was awesome. The ladies are really nice and have great customer service skills. The establishment looked cozy and clean, although we did take out. The pizza was disappointing with not much sauce on it though :
Okay. Wow. Friendly, very local, well priced, good anount of food. Tasty. Had the Stromboli with linguica and Italian sausage. Will made. Super busy, if ordering out give them sometime. People that were dining in sat around, talked and had some vine. All smiles
The pasta dishes were varied, with multiple spaghetti sauce options, which I appreciated. My husband tried the Stromboli and said it was just okay. The presentation left something to be desired, as my meal was served on a plastic plate, and the breadbasket and the tablecloth under the glass top were also plastic. Oddly enough, my husband received a regular ceramic plate. The table had an unimpressive battery-operated candle that did not contribute to the atmosphere, which felt cold and drafty with the ceiling fans running. None of the staff wore masks at any point, and I noticed they did not disinfect the front counter between customers picking up to-go orders, which was concerning as we saw many people come and go. The background music consisted of old standards, which was actually one of the more pleasant aspects of the dining experience. On a positive note, there is parking available behind the restaurant as well as on the street. The food was served hot and tasted good, with an option to have fresh parmesan cheese grated on our dishes as generously as we liked. A nice touch was the bite-sized pieces of bread served with oil and balsamic vinegar and some delightful spices. My spaghetti came with green beans on the side, which were very fresh and well-prepared.
