Thirsty Clam
Menu
The restaurant from GRANT offers 29 different menus and drinks on the menu for an average price of $6.9.
The restaurant received mixed reviews, with some praising the excellent truffle fries and creative cocktails, while others were disappointed by soggy pizza and slow service. Despite some inconsistencies, patrons appreciated the friendly staff and unique atmosphere. The venue seemed to cater more towards seafood lovers, with highlights such as raw oysters and steamed shrimps receiving high praise. Overall, while there were some areas in need of improvement, the restaurant seemed to cater well to those seeking delicious seafood in a rustic setting.

Was Anne VonRueden at Thirsty Clam a mag?
The complex is very rustic with a local clientele. The Rohausters and the steamed shrimps were excellent. The soft bowl crab sandwich, which was a special not so delicious. We would come back for the oysters and shrimps, but do not order the soft shell. View all feedback.
The oysters are very fresh and deliciousI came with my husband for this Tuesday special of dozen oysters $6.
Please read my previous review of the Thirsty Clam The Clam USED to be my favorite restaurant but that restaurant is no longer around.
Thirty Clam is my favorite spot for delicious seafood at unbeatable prices. The staff is extremely friendly and the bartenders are very attentive. The owner is always around, which adds a personal touch to the experience. Guests are welcomed with a taste of the House Jersey Boy Chowder, which is simply outstanding. You can also purchase fresh seafood to take away from a display case. The restaurant offers a variety of entertainment options including an Elvis impersonator, karaoke, and live band music on certain days. Where else can you find a Swiss, spinach, and crab omelet during the week? One thing I really appreciate is that I can order crabs and other seafood items individually, rather than being required to buy a dozen. Just make sure you go to the building in the back that is NOT labeled as Thirty Clam.
The food was tasty. We decided to try their oyster special on Monday and Tuesday. Unfortunately, the service was below average and they offer wine cocktails. The wait time for food seems unpredictable and service is not swift. It was noticeable that the owners spend their time drinking at the bar. While the oysters were enjoyable, the restaurant itself was not very clean. It appears to attract regulars who spend a lot of time drinking. Our first experience at oyster night was not pleasant as we were laughed at for not having a reservation and the bartenders were rude. We likely won't be returning.
