El Torero - Granite City

Travel agency. I didn't try to impress the chips they brought with salsa. Chips have a little stamina for them. Salsa wasn't impressive. When you ate as much as I was, it was a bad effort on the salsa to be a Mexican restaurant. The Margarita was great, there is a good value in that for $5.50 excellent deal. This place has beautiful specialties. The food is not bad at all. I say this is a place to try a few times, you can do something you like.

Very good Mexican food. I love El Torero. You have the best Mexican food and a unique thing they do is on someone's birthday they do a song and then sneak on the person and put whip cream in their face. Haha.

Best Mexican in Granite City. I ate here a few times. It is bright and colorful inside, with the current trend in Mexican restaurants. The food is usually Tex-Mex with a few more authentic dishes on the menu. The chips and salsa were good, like the Carnitas and Margaritas. Fast friendly service.

I often come here and usually have no problem, but this last time... I felt we were at the stand of invisibility. We had been sitting there for 10 15 minutes without being welcomed by our server, and so I had to complain to the front desk to get a service. After that they were there! Our food and refills came to us with a speed. Everything was delicious and satisfactory considering how it started.

We've visited this restaurant twice, and our second experience was much better. We've tried many Mexican restaurants, and none of them charge extra for rice and beans. Their tacos are quite simple. I would recommend not coming here if you're very hungry, as the dinner portions are on the smaller side.
