Contribute Feedback What Evelyn Rose doesn't like about Hong Fa:
I used to enjoy this place when it was called Melting Pot Cafe, and I was planning to give it a 5-star rating. However, I had no idea it had changed so much! My mom used to work at the Melting Pot, but she got a new job and I haven't been back since. I’m really frustrated about these changes, so for now I'm giving it 2 stars. I checked on Friday, and it's still called Melting Pot Cafe. View all feedback.
Went here for Chinese, turns out they weren't serving Chinese until further notice. Ended up ordering from their Mexican menu. Food was mediocre at best, service was also mediocre.
The food is pretty good and a welcome change from the small town burger and fries.
I ordered dinner to go, specifically item #16. The sweet and sour chicken was made with dark meat and included bones. The spicy chicken stir-fry tasted a bit stale and also used dark meat. The pork fried rice and chow mein were acceptable, but the soup didn’t impress me either. The crab rangoon were decent. On a positive note, the waitstaff was very friendly.
I recently ordered pork noodles from your restaurant and was disappointed to receive a portion of boiled spaghetti noodles that were tasteless. It was packaged in a drink cup, with just a small amount of pork on top. Once I got home and took a bite, I immediately called to inform the staff that I would be returning the dish for a refund. However, I was told that my money wouldn't be refunded, but they could offer me a replacement next time. At that point, I let them know there wouldn't be a next time for me. I spent over $10 on boiled spaghetti noodles! I challenge you to keep this post visible so others can see just how poor your customer service is!
This was by far the worst dining experience I've had. The fried rice was soggy, and the General Tso's chicken was so unappetizing that I couldn't even bring myself to eat it. On top of that, it was overpriced at $75 for such terrible food.
