Description

Set in a quirky old house with eclectic décor, this cozy Granger spot is celebrated for standout desserts, creative martinis and generous portions. Loyal locals praise attentive service and memorable special‑occasion meals, though experiences vary: menu and dessert availability can be inconsistent, prices skew high, and occasional brusque staff or stair access have deterred guests. Free parking and takeout are available; best for dessert lovers and celebratory evenings.

It would be an understatement to say that Yesterday’s is one of our favorite dining spots! They truly are exceptional. My husband, who grew up in the area, has been enjoying their meals since he was a teenager. For the past five years, we've consistently celebrated our birthdays there. Recently, we had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding anniversary at the same place. Yvonne, Bill, Carol, and the rest of the staff have become like family to us. We often find ourselves ending our evenings there, savoring Carol’s fantastic martinis and engaging in meaningful conversations about life and family. It’s disappointing to see some not-so-great reviews about their menu and desserts. They have been open and honest with their customers about the changes and some unexpected challenges they've faced. We absolutely love them and appreciate their commitment to the community. We will always be loyal customers.

**Dining Experience Review** Rating: - Food: ★★★★★ - Service: ★★★★★ - Atmosphere: ★★★★★ I had a delightful dining experience with excellent service. For a meal type categorized as 'Other,' I found the price per person to be very reasonable, ranging from $20 to $30. Overall, everything was exceptional!

We had gone for dinner and decided to return with our daughter. We made reservations on Open Table for a Wednesday evening. While driving (almost arrived at restaurant), someone called to tell us that they would only be serving appetizers and drinks. Definitely not ideal for dinner with a child. It would seem to me that this information should be available when making reservations. Our first visit, the owner was quite brusk and unfriendly, except to the obvious regular drinkers. The good news is that we discovered Capri, right around the corner and enjoyed a fantastic meal there!! I highly recommend Capri! Update: September 23, 2023 We returned for our anniversary dinner. It was an amazing experience! Our waiter, Chris, was fantastic, helpful and very attentive. I had blackened salmon with a sweet potato, salad, corn on the cob and a fresh strawberry lemon martini. My husband has “King Kong”, a big New York strip, sidewinder fries, salad and corn on the cob. Everything was done to perfection!! The martini was the best I’ve ever had! We will definitely be returning, but only for special occasions, as it is a bit pricey. This was an outstanding experience!

Oct 7, 2023 Decor was all over. Tropical to Christmas with Halloween mixed in. The hostess/owner was rude. We (4 ladies) came in for dessert only. She didn’t want to seat us for dessert since it was 5 pm and the dinner hour. Said we could come back at 9:30 pm then changed her mind since we were already there. By the time we left less than 50% of the tables were occupied. We took dessert home. Our total bill was $100 tip and she was going to turn us away. Previous visit she reamed us for not having a reservation. She lost our business. Wheelchair accessibility: I had trouble with the stairs in the restaurant.

I dined here six years ago, and my experience was underwhelming—the food was just average, but the prices were quite high. I decided not to return for a meal. However, I visited tonight specifically to pick up a piece of their carrot cake, which was highly recommended as the best in the area. Unfortunately, when I walked in, I was informed that it would take at least 30 minutes to get my dessert. Because of this, I will not be returning.
