Today we... read more The B&B hotel on Via Pasquale Paoli is our regular stopover between Le Marche and the UK, and we’ve usually eaten at Il Birrificio because it’s nearby. Today we had an awful journey through dreadful storms and we were desperate for a meal even though it was only a little after 17.00. Thanks to Tripadvisor we saw that M&M Caffe was only a short distance behind the hotel on a parallel road. What a find!! They organised a lovely meal for us there and then! It rescued the day for us. In future, when we stop off in Como, M&M is where we’ll head for a meal. Thank you M&M Caffe!!!

Trained as a chef, owner Maurizio invites customers to just sit and enjoy the experience as he creates menus, sometimes at that moment. The food is always good and prices are lower to reflect the working class area. Most days of the week, we eat at M& M.

They are always trying new things, often unexpected for me. A nice plate is 8 to 10 Euros, and you can't go wrong. Located yards from the Como Camerlata train station, if you have a wait time there, and want a nice meal.

The seasonal menus reflect the season, and I ate my first Pizzocheri of Winter 2018, with a nice glass of red wine.
