I absolutely adore this restaurant! They offer a fantastic variety of food and drinks. Be sure to try their new crawfish-flavored milkshake, which is packed with vitamin D and calcium. It has a kick of real crawfish taste and spicy Cajun flavor! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Salt Licker's:
I was quite shocked by how expensive it was. $9.99 for 6 fried shrimp, 2 small hushpuppies, and 2 tablespoons of coleslaw. The food was decent, but not enough to make me want to return. Petty's in Lindale is a much better option. View all feedback.
It was me and my 3 sons. I ordered the sampler appetizer, 5lbs crawfish, and 2lbs of boiled shrimp. The 14.00 appetizer was a fail all the way around. It advertised chicken wings. What we received was some sort of little chicken balls. The mozzarella sticks were not even slightly melted inside. The fried pickles were super tiny pickle Spears. Now to the crawfish. They were extremely small. They did not have much taste. No dry seasoning on them at all. The potatoes and corn were not boiled in the same water. No taste what so ever. Alot of the crawfish had dirty bellies. Like they weren't rinsed before cooking. The only saving grace was the shrimp. They were good sized. Still didn't have much flavor or a dry seasoning. They were de vwined so all you had to do was pluck them out of the shell.Granted there aren't many places around canton to get good seafood. But for over a 100.00 dollars I would have expected a little more.
The catfish is one of the things at this place that is awesome, the atmosphere great treat you like family. Karaoke on Fridays Saturdays great times. KJ is awesome and the waitresses awesome, highly recommended visit this place.
The first time, and I was really impressed by the food, and ready to return again soon.
Had 2.5 lbs of Crawfish that was cooked perfect.Service was good. Crowded on Friday evening. Only 1 thing to chef, is to purge them in salt water a bit longer. Other than that, I almost ate my fill. Will be back. Thanks for being a good place to eat in this area.BM
We are fans of Salt Lickers from our trip last year for Crawfish. If you’re going for crawfish and shrimp, skip it. Last year the seafood was fantastic! This year Crawfish was mushy and shrimp were processed pre frozen “shrimp ish” flat disks. Beer was cold service was slow. Disappointing.
