Reservation asked if it was a special occasion and it was, but there was no acknowledgement of it while we were there. No big deal really but why ask? What User doesn't like about Linear:
Modern and simple ambiance on the Grand River near downtown Grand Rapids. Menu uses locally sources ingredients when possible. Food was decent. Party started with the Fried Ravioli (bland sauce and outer coating overpowers the filling of ravioli ; and the Octopus (slightly overcooked but was paired nicely with a black bean puree and arugula salad highlighted with apple, mandarins, and fennel. I am truly impressed with the service at Linear after the Covid-19 pandemic. They prioritized my safety by sanitizing tabletops and chairs before each use, as well as providing new menus for each table. All staff wore masks and maintained social distancing. Well done, Linear!

So impressed with their post Service. They took my safety very seriously, I saw them disconnecting tabletops and chairs before every use, they also bring brand new menus to every table. Everyone wore masks and socially distanced throughout the experience. Well done, Linear.
It was like a first date again after the long shutdown. We had an outdoor table overlooking the river. Great meal. Jenna was a great server. Couldn't be more pleased.
