Hancock
Description
Hancock on Wealthy St in Grand Rapids offers a mixed dining experience marked by delicious fried chicken and a lively atmosphere. While the food, particularly the chicken tenders and fries, garners rave reviews, some diners report issues with portion sizes and disorganized service. The establishment's unique setting and inviting décor provide a welcoming vibe. Quick service is a highlight, but inconsistencies in the attentiveness of staff can detract from the experience. Overall, Hancock is a delightful spot for casual dining, attracting families and friends alike.

Give service 5 stars, food 3 stars. I had a burger on a chicken stable. so there is to be taken into account. Ordering the Smash Burger, it was just okay. Had cheese on it and was very dirty, more liquid than solid. Patty was more like a vegan burger. If I went back, could do to try the chicken, I would definitely not get a burger. Also the frits had, they were underboiled and cold. I was very impressed by the choice of alcohol... Hendricks Gin seen on the shelf! Top notch little Batch Gin. Bottom line, probably not going back, much better burgers elsewhere. Service is very good!
The atmosphere was very nice. It's an old gas station that turns into a restaurant. The installation and rebuilding was very well done. It has a bar where we have a blue ****. It was strong for a ****, so it was GREAT! I had the sweet chickens with waffles. The coffins were in a honey sauce that slept! It was so delicious and good. Then we had half the chicken on the side hot. The hot was too hot for me, but tasteful. The chicken is crispy. I recommend the Maiskartoffeln via waffle fries their tasteful and creamy. We'll be back when we visit Grand Rapids.
Great spot! We all truly enjoyed the fried chicken sandwiches and waffles. The mac and cheese was on the smaller side but quite tasty. The Brussels sprout salad could have used a bit more dressing, but it worked out since I had used the ranch from my sandwich instead of mayo. Lastly, the Eclair Cup Dessert was delightful and versatile, featuring delicious vanilla bean pastry cream. Our server, Isabelle, was very friendly and patient with our complicated orders (my family takes forever to decide and loves to make things a bit tricky). She even proactively shared helpful information about the different cheeses used in various dishes once she noticed our interest.
Perfect spot for a mommy/son lunch date. My 8 year old said this was the best chicken tenders he’s ever had. No sauce needed. We played jumbo connect 4 in the sunshine while we waited for our food. Love this restaurant. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Me and my boyfriend went to the counter to order and the girl (Leah) who took our order was not very friendly, kept rolling her eyes and when I asked a question about the drinks, she just said “the menu is right there”. the food was mid and the service sucked, Which is unfortunate because we’ve never been here and we were visiting our local friends from out of town.
