I opted for my usual favorites: egg and potatoes, along with a fruit cup. Everything was well-cooked and satisfying. The carrots were perfectly spiced and crispy, and I particularly enjoyed the sourdough bread accompanying my meal. The fruit was fresh and in season, adding to the overall quality of the dish.
Coffee was self-service and offered three different options, with creamer available upon request. I tried the... View all feedback.
Andrea is absolutely fantastic, and the dining experience is top-notch. I'm so glad we checked out the new location during our trip to California! We tried the miso soup, the Reuben with tofu, and the grilled cheese tortilla, and each dish truly deserves five stars. A big thank you to Andrea and the Gaia team!
Glad this place is here. However I had a strange experience the other day. This comment is not to negate other experiences which are good. Atmosphere is good. Food is good. So I have made many pit stops for a ‘GAIA cookie’. Same name I use to reference that cookie. I didn’t say ‘vegan Gaia cookie. Well I arrived and the first thing I see is that the server looks at me and she rolls her eyes and asked me what I want. I was at the front counter I said I was going to get a cookie. Well I waited for a couple minutes and she comes around the corner with plates in her hand. She says what kind of cookie would you like? I said I want a Gaia cookie. She said we have two kinds. I said I know I want the Gaia cookie. She said we have two kinds which one do you want? Do you want a vegan one or. And I said for like the third time the Gaia cookie. And she said again we have the vegan one and the other one. With this person’s tone of voice and the slight of attitude I didn’t get it. I was simply wanting to get a Gaia cookie. From this weird moment I just basically turned around and walked out. I never felt so strange in my life picking up a cookie that I’ve done a dozen times. I never said vegan Gaia cookie one time. She continues to ask me. The server is obviously new. However I would not be writing this comment or review if I do not feel that this person does not embody the vibe to work at a place like this. It doesn’t matter if you look like you are a hippie and you have dreadlocks your attitude is what customers come back for. If you have a poor attitude and tone of voice you’re going to have an attitude about a customer asking specifically for the cookie that I’ve asked for a dozen times and you don’t know what I’m asking. I did not say vegan cookie. So this is very strange for me to make a comment but I want the owners of the company to make sure that they have people there that embody the vibe of this awesome place . Otherwise like I mentioned in the beginning it’s a good place it has good food. I have been there many times already. But I think the ownership should be aware about their staff. I can understand people have a bad day but to have a strange miscommunication over a cookie. It makes me feel strange wanting to come in there as I do not want to encounter that person. I’ve never met the person before before that day. Every other staff member that I’ve come in contact with has been nice. Well I hope they figure out that if somebody comes in and ask for a ‘Gaia cookie’ There is no confusion.
The prices felt a bit high for sandwiches, but the homemade pickles and fresh herbs made it worth it. I can’t recommend a good parking spot, so we ended up parking in the reserved area of the Irish pub, which was a bit risky. A few suggestions: it would be great to add a bit more spread to the Banh Mi, as it was a little dry, and consider including more completely vegan options on the menu, as many dishes are close but still contain cheese. Additionally, I'd suggest replacing the potato chips with a cup of soup. Overall, we’re looking forward to coming back! Please keep the homemade ferments coming!
Gaia is one of my favorite local restaurants. the food is so good, and it is every time I order it! shown the veggie stash with kartoffels and rice. the spicy combination is just the right combination of aromen. if you need a place with delicious food that doesn't make them feel hard, this is the place the team that works there has always been great!
Gaia is back. The space is lovely and bright. Food is great. Water and coffee are self serve which I liked. My friend also loved her meal. I'll definitely be back.
