Big Boy - Grand Rapids

I have a lot of nostalgia for this restaurant because it used to be located in Racine, WI, and now there's only one in Germantown, WI, along with a few in Michigan. When I discovered there was a location in Grand Rapids, where I was staying for the weekend, I knew I had to visit. The food was delicious, and the service was impressively quick, even though it seemed relatively busy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a great time here and would definitely recommend it!

What a disappointment! I ordered the chicken and waffle platter, and it arrived without butter, powdered sugar, syrup, or hot sauce, even though the menu promised these items. The two pieces of chicken were tough and very small. I won't be ordering from here again. Honestly, the city should convert this place into a gas station; that would be a better dining option!

We stopped for lunch after our trip to the zoo, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The food was excellent! We ordered a patty melt, a chicken sandwich, and a big burger. Everything was great except for the chicken sandwich; it had a bit of a bland taste. Despite that, we will definitely be back!

We had to be in G.R. and I wanted a slim jim and hot fudge cake. service was excellent, eating was hot and tasty. only had 4 stars, as there were some cleaning problems in toilets.

The place was extremely understaffed. Two servers greeting entrants, taking orders, taking payment and bussing tables. Needless to say service was extremely slow. I observed several people walking out without being acknowledged. Food was subpar compared to many Big Boys I have dined in. I will not return to this Big Boy.
