I stopped at this restaurant after picking up my children from the airport. The busy atmosphere indicated that they serve delicious pizza. The restaurant clearly takes pride in their food, as it was evident in the taste. I was so impressed with the pizza that I wanted to take a picture, but it was gone before I could. We will definitely return in the future. Thank you for the wonderful pizza experience! View all feedback.
What Carrie Walter doesn't like about Andrea's Pizza Grand Rapids:
Usually the pizza at this restaurant is fantastic, but tonight we waited 45 minutes for our order and ended up receiving a cold pizza and wings without sauce. We asked for fresh mushrooms but got candied green bell peppers instead. It may be time to find a new go-to local pizza place. View all feedback.
Had a great pizza last weekend. Figured we would try them again. The pizza we received today did not have double cheese as ordered and paid for as well as all the onions were burnt to carbon. The pizza was overwhelmed by the burnt onion taste. We could only eat a slice before we had to stop due to the taste. I wish I knew how to post a picture, the strangest looking pizza I have ever seen.
I had heard great things about this place but sadly I cannot agree. I had previously had a couple of their specialty pizzas (chicken pesto, buffalo chicken, and deluxe) and I was not impressed by any of them. We decided to give them a try again last night thinking maybe their regular create your own pizzas were better than their specialty pizzas, but sadly I was mistaken. We got a pepperoni and onion pizza and asked for it to be baked 1-2 min longer than usual for a crispy crust.Pros Their end crust is great. It has a nice crunch/bite without seeming like it's stale or over done. The extra bake time was great for the outer crust The pepperoni was flavorfulCons The sauce. I do not understand why people think this pizza is so great because this is one of the worst tasting pizza sauces I have ever had. It tastes like tomato flavored water with no spices or herbs to give it flavor/kick. It's so watery that it just seeps into the crust, makes it soggy and forms what looks like a gelatinous layer that tastes doughy The rest of the crust. Because of the watery sauce, the only advantage of the slightly longer bake time was on the outer crust mentioned above. The rest of the crust was still floppy, soggy, and undercooked Amount of cheese. As others have mentioned, many of the pieces had sauce all the way up the outer crust to the point where you couldn't grab the piece without getting sauce on your hands, but the cheese didn't start for a good 1.5 2 from the crust Greasy. The cheese sometimes separates because of the grease, and with a lot of the pieces, if you try to take a bite, all of the toppings slide off the whole piece so you have to hold the cheese/toppings in place to eat it Time. It was 8pm on a Sunday night, which doesn't seem like prime time, and it was still 35 min for pickup. Even on Friday and Saturday nights at 7pm, I haven't had more than a 25-30 min wait time, so this seemed long to me.Overall, if they added some more cheese and made a better, more flavorful sauce it might not be so bad, but I just can't get behind them. There are much better local and/or family owned pizza places in GR.
I’ve had better pizza overall, but they have some of the best pizza crust I’ve ever eaten.
Locally owned, delicious pizza and sides. This was our first visit but we will be back!!
This is the best pizza in town and the sauce is perfect! Nice staff and easy to call and pick it upyourself. Good parking.
