It's perfect for a treat right on the water. You can sit in, sit out or take out right onto the wharf a few yards away! The coffee is fresh and everything freshly made by good local cooks. Get ice cream and FG and Vegan foods, good organic coffee...friendly Maritime service. Stay and chat with the folks. Even have a local entertainment corner of Cape Breton's finest once a week or so I do believe. I loved it all! And they aim to please for the FG folks if they can possibly do it onsite!
I always stop here. It beckons you in. The site of the former ferry between Iona and Grand Narrows. There is now a swing gate type bridge and road whereby you cross a man made causeway now. The stop is a perfect picnic lunch spot, great for photos and also to breathe in the beautiful Bras DOr lakes.
The food is wonderful! Fresh vegetables and excellent home made sandwiches, stone made pizza, chowder and fresh squeezed lemonade! ☆☆☆
