Fabulous selection of the most delicious croissants, bagels, cookies, pretzels, sandwiches, soup, and other delectable treats. Made with fresh ingredients and care. The sugar cookies are decorated so beautifully and with such creativity! Wonderful service too! View all feedback.
What Marie B doesn't like about Flour Child Bakery:
The food items are delicious, but I've had bad service a few times. For example, stood there waiting for 15 minutes for my food not 15 minutes waiting for it to be made (although that is true), but 15 minutes, watching it sit at the counter getting cold while staff helped this lady get all the little goodies she wanted. I wanted to just go behind the counter and grab it, since I already paid for it.I cannot celebrate... View all feedback.
I was heading out of Grand Ledge, and stopped downtown at our local bakery...wow, to my absolute delight, they had made fresh egg and cheese mini quiches DELICIOUS!!! And the large coffee with cream was A+ 5 stars! Our quaint downtown is gorgeous!
Super tasty. Get there as early as possible if you want a lot of things on the weekend but otherwise just AM gets you most things. They also frequently do fundraisers so keep an eye on their FB page as they usually do pre-orders there. Everything has been super tasty and it's such a cute little restaurant and I'm happy every time I visit.
I discovered they will make custom bagels. Behold! The perfect bagel. Jalapeno, cheddar, salted bagel. Literal perfection. Luckily I ordered a half dozen because I am going to crush all of them today.
This bakery is one of our favorites ever! Everything we’ve tried is delicious. Our favorites are the BLT, quiches, raspberry bars, and anything lemon. We always look forward to the coffee. The staff is also really lovely. Highly recommend!
Don’t fall for the hype, save your money and go somewhere else! I decided to give Flour Child one more chance and they blew it, again! I ordered 4 pecan rolls (cost me $14) and they are burnt on the bottom and hard as rock on top! I can’t even use a fork to eat one of these! Either these have been made wrong (obviously since the bottoms are burnt) and/or they are old and stale as well. I’ve been here many times and have tried a variety of items on their menu; the coffee is watery, some of the gluten free items are gross and not at all like what they suppose to be, the cookies are average at best, and don’t even consider ordering hot chocolate. Even though it’s powdered hot chocolate mix they can’t be bothered to make that right either, mine was basically water. The only good things I’ve had here is the pumpkin pie cookie and their bagels are usually good. Definitely not the best bagels but if you are going to get anything here get a bagel. The atmosphere is cute and their decor is nice as well. Personally, it’s not worth the price and the quality is not there or hit-and-miss at best. 2/10, would not recommend!
