We had a really nice 3-course pre-fixe dinner and bottle of wine here on the porch in a gorgeous setting. Historic building has charm and a great view. Menu features local ingredients prepared beautifully. Yum View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Huntington House Tavern:
This restaurant was not a good experience. The staff was unfriendly and the service was lacking. I received better customer service at a fast food restaurant. To make matters worse, our food was not what we ordered. I was disappointed because I had always wanted to dine here while staying at the hotel. Unfortunately, my opinion has not changed. On Tuesday night (30th juni) had drinks at the bartender was obviously not interested in being at work. used his hand to shove ice in drinking glasses. also put his hand in a nutshell and sat in his mouth and finished eating a customer. back behind the bar. big. he needs a fresher about the rules for labels and health codes. big.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. We were told our son was bothering other guest while he was coloring and humming. Both tables near us were paying out and leaving. We have never been told that our son was bothering others at a restaurant and we have been to really nice restaurants. It was Father's Day and my Husband's birthday. Very disappointed. Do not go here!
Where do we start? First we had a drink at the bar. We were 2 of 5 customers at the time and there were 2 bartenders. We waited 10 minute's to be waited on and the bartender was rude. He was the same bad bartender from last year. Then we were seated and informed that the menu was $59. Per person for a 3 course meal. The food was all under seasoned and the meat was overly charred. It was sad that the meat was ruined. The service at the table and the views were great.
This restaurant exceeded my expectations. We came in for the dinner menu last night and had a drink at the bar prior to being seated. I had an excellent old fashioned at the bar! The food is served as a three course meal. For my first course I had the Smoked Trout Plate. It was basically bruschetta with smoked trout, a cream cheese spread with fish eggs, cucumber mix, and picked onions. I'm not an onion fan at all, but everything else was fantastic and I highly recommend. For my second course I got the crab cake. The crab cake was light and airy and served on a bed of spicy/creamy red cabbage. Again, highly recommend! Finally, for my main course I ordered the filet mignon. It was cooked to perfection and served with fresh mashed potatoes in a wine sauce. I wish I would have taken photos, as the presentation of the entire meal was beautiful! My son had the Game Sheppards Pie. I had a couple bites and really enjoyed it. I typically do not like game meat, but this was the exception to the rule. The atmosphere is a beautiful rustic pine venue with breathtaking views over Grand Lake that are second to none. Just an overall great dining experience! COVID-19 precautions were take by staff as well throughout the experience. Staff was courteous, polite, and attentive as well.
