Rocky's Ny Style Pizza - Grand Island

I decided to finally try this new pizzeria. (Sat 3/12 10:35am) I looked up the menu, decided for 4ppl what we would all have, and ordered on their online app (Slice). Selected the asap time slot and paid. (approx. 25 min) Drove from Tops supermarket to Rocky's and noticed it was closed. Website stated opens at 10:30am Saturday, sign on door said 11am???. There were no cars in parking lot, but I thought maybe the person to open the restaurant may have walked to work or taken the bus. I called and no answer. I phoned the number on my confirmation (Slice) and the lovely man stated they had cancelled my ordered and refunded my debit card, and had already sent me an email. Well, ok. I should have listened to the couple at Tops who had a negative experience there weeks prior. They did wish me luck, and we were all hoping for the best. From the Rocky's parking lot I called the number I knew from my childhood and ordered lunch. LaHacienda Brighton never fails. Thank you Brandon and LaHac team! 8 years on the Island and never went to Rocky's. Sorry you don't get second chances.

Ordered wings after looking at the reviews and also right next door. Wings were barely cooked, felt like sauce was poured on the wings and that's it. Garlic parmesan barely had any flavor. The fried mushrooms and fried cauliflower were so raw, had to throw away whole of those 2 orders. Also, got less than 6 pieces of mushroom for 5.99 and the same with cauliflower.....way too expensive. Maybe we were the last ones for the night or maybe the place is better at Pizzas, but definitely not good for the ones we ordered.

Large pizza and wing! many different wings taste options and they are not disappointed. also a super comfortable location when it is on one of the local campsites.

We were looking for a traditional buffalo pizza and that was on the radar. So we tried it with a large paprika traditional soße pizza. the paprika were bit-sized pieces. delicious sauce and crust. you know that a crust is good if I really eat it! not super thick but not thin. Although, apparently they could ask thin crust here and they will do it for them. toppings also went quite far to the edge of the pizza. we sat and saw football while we ate. the restaurant was quiet, but takeout and delivery seemed busy. a good experience!

Rocky’s has a $8 lunch special with a lot of choices and it includes a drink. we had a personal pizza and chicken fingers with pommes and that were delicious. I need the chocolate dripping butter cake next time it decides. we will try their pizzeria again.
