we stopped for lunch on our way across the island. There was a limited menu but selections showed creativity. Food and service was good. The decor and music were very relaxing. Easy to find and parking was not an issue. View all feedback.
What Micaela Langworth doesn't like about 48 High:
Save yourself $100 or more for crappy food and a bullying restaurant manager. Michelina's have better prepared food dishes and you don't have to listen to a night manager explaining that the chef did notice that he might have overcooked the fish, we offered you replacement fish, and the tab is $94 and we are not all perfect in this world.Just unbelievable. Stay away..wait to get to St. John's or Corner Brook and whil... View all feedback.

At the end of a long day of driving we arrived at 48 High - a charming bistro like place with funky local art on the walls. Staff were welcoming. Ordered appetizers for dinner - both were well prepared and very tasty. Dessert was also very good.
Great evening at 48 High! After scannning the reviews of 48 High we decided to have supper there tonight and we were not disappointed. THe owner took our order and helped with the selection. THe appetizers we chose -Brie cheese as well as the mussels - were delicious. the main course - a trio of seafood chosen by 3 of us - was fabulous. The lone seafood holdout had the steak, which was served with a blue cheese sauce and it too was fabulous. The portions were generous and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend and will be back again when I visit Grand Fall- Windsor again
My wife and I were traveling from the west coast to the east coast and stopped in Grand Falls for the night. It's always difficult at best to find the type of restaurant you prefer in an unknown town with little time to research. We got lucky with 48 High. This is a nice place with a friendly personable staff. The chef (Justin) took plenty of time with us as inquisitive out of towners. But the chef took also took time preparing our meals. I had the Salmon with honey glaze which was very good and paired with a California Cab. I know. but I really do prefer red wines and it was fine. My wife had the ravioli, which was fabulous. Luckily for me she could not eat it all so I was forced to finish it for her.If we ever stop in Grand Falls again, 48 High is where we will be having dinner.
My wife loved the food so much the first night we came back for a second night of dinner! Justin has just taken over ownership of the restaurant the past month. He is very personable and hands on. He will show you to the table and review the days specials. We enjoyed the spinach salad
