We were there April 7th, 2017 - to celebrate my birthday. They allowed us to bring our own birthday cake. Everyone ordered something different for dinner and everyone was pleased with their food. Le Balzac is a small but cosy french style cuisine restaurant in the outskirt of Granby ( appox. 1hr15 mins drive east of Montreal ).The atmosphere is warm and intimate as you can find in a country cottage main room next to a fireplace.This is a bring your own wine restaurant with a varied menu of french style dishes from appetizers to desserts.The quality of food is excellent and the service is friendly and attentive.
Every meal at the balzac is a party, a delight, a feast. the jean chef die, inducted to the culinary academy of france, prepares each dish with great care, nothing in advance. It's fresh and succulent!

Very good family kitchen a small coche above so that it is exelent for example a little less sauce on the bavette. the bite a little bit men sugar but in the whole very good ratio.
