We had such a wonderful dining experience at Schachtner's Restaurant and wish I could give more than 5 stars. This was by far our favourite restaurant in the week stay we had in Garmisch. The food was delicious and the chef was very friendly. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the owner of the restaurant. She was rude and responded negatively to our inquiries and comments. View all feedback.
Food was local and fresh, beautiful plates. House cuvee was delishes. The whole experience was amazing.
Amazing experience the food is wonderful, the service is super kind and the communication with the restaurant is easy and very pleasant. They also seriously took into account all of our special wishes due to allergies, which is a rare thing. Thank you!
Spent my 40th birthday there. The food was very good and the service was very attentive. We'd love to come back. It's a win for Grainau, so people are happy to pay a little more.

This was our first visit to Schachtner's; There were 8 of us and we had the 3-course surprise menu; Since it was a birthday invitation, we were given a second starter: it was particularly successful, it was a homemade ravioli with Colatura sauce; surprising and simply good. So every course had a highlight; All of this embedded in a very personalized service, which made the gastronomic experience all the more extraordinary. The setting is very familiar and the Schachtner couple implements their concept; Absolutely recommended, the journey is definitely worth it!!
