Knotty Pine Tavern - Graeagle
Knotty Pine Tavern
Description
Tucked in Gray Eagle near Lakes Basin and Johnsonville, this charming small-town bar feels like a home base after a hike — porch seating, TVs, pool table and jukebox, dog-friendly and casual. Many praise friendly bartenders and hearty breakfasts like burritos and omelets, but reviewers also warn of inconsistent food quality, inattentive or rude service, steep to-go beer prices and a 3.5% card fee. A lively local spot worth trying for atmosphere, but temper expectations on service and value.

Had the opportunity to enjoy this little gem over the weekend. Felt like my home bar, welcoming so much fun! Definitely going to come back! Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I have a place in town and try to frequent local establishments, but I just can’t with this one anymore. Really bad drinks, really bad service. The worst is Kandy Foard. I believe she’s the owner. Has this horrific entitled attitude. Like tell me what you want let me throw it in front of you, and then leave me alone. I can’t anymore. She’s not always there, but enough is enough. There are better places in town that don’t make you feel like you’re a second class citizen if you don’t live full time there. She wouldn’t even have a bar if it weren’t for people who don’t live here full-time. What a horrible woman.
Friends and I stopped by a few times for a quick beer. Everyone was friendly. Not a huge beer selection on tap but still not terrible. If you are in that area or just passing through I'd recommend a quick one here. Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Truly incredible local bar with a great gin and tonic. If you you are awarded the privilege of entering this establishment, be sure to look for local legend, Garlic Greg! Meeting him was the highlight of our trip to the Knotty Pine. Thanks for a great night in town! Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
