The staff were so friendly upon entering the... read more Loved my experience at Mi Candelita! The location is perfect, close to nearby Luanco and looking onto the seafront. The staff were so friendly upon entering the restaurant and took great care to explain each dish, as well as physically showing us the fresh produce of the day. The arroz was absolutely fantastic, so fresh and one of the best I've had to date. I really enjoyed being able to see all of the desserts prepared for the day prior to choosing one, it was a really nice touch! I'll definitely be returning to Mi Candelita next time I'm in the area, such a lovely experience!

Arroz micandelita was great looking but actuallly rather dry. Tarta de queso was like an omlette and tasted of egg more than anything. We had a couple of celiacs with us and their food tested positive for gluten. Staff were accommodating to fix this issue. The place was teeming with flies.... quite annoying having to bat them away with every mouthful. Edit following reply: if the menu says Gluten Free it should indeed be gluten free . You did explain you couldnt guarantee this, hence we tested it. It wasnt gluten free, you were right that you could not guarantee this. I am glad our experience indicated that your gluten free dishes are erroneously marked and hope you take adequate measures to rectify this for future celiacs who dont have the luxury of testing in site. As for the rice, its personal opinion and I maintain it was overly dry as its my review.
