We have had a few family meals here and recommend to people wanting a gourmet meal for a special occasion or wanting that extra special meal and service. The dining room is cosy but spacious and tastefully decorated. Its a white tablecloth service with all the cutlery and glasses for each individual dishes need. There are a few different menu formules or a la carte and the cheese platter is to die for. The owner is v... View all feedback.
Beautiful establishment close to the city centre. Parking. welcome.
We'll wake up for a perfect sylvester. excellent dishes, very well served and with great goodness by the boss. very clean and quiet hotel. Excellent reception. I don't know. A perfect place to enjoy you.
We had a great meal here. The maître d'hôtel was so friendly and his knowledge of French wine was fantastic. They have some fantastic wines. He recommended a Saint Emilion for us and it was amazing. He had a lovely filet of beef for main course some fantastic and very generously portioned local cheeses and dessert. The hotel is very relaxed and in a quiet location with lots of free parking a short walk to the Main Street. Definitely worth a visit especially for the wine.
This was a huge disappointment. We had promised ourselves a treat from eating hearty local cuisine in other nearby restaurants and had looked forward to an Michelin recommended, excellent dining experience. My misgivings started when we entered the gloomy dining room at 7.30 to find ourselves entirely alone. The slightly supercilious maitre'd was not welcoming. Ravioli with langoustine should have been light and full of flavour: instead the pasta was thick, chewy and heavy. the filling was the saving grace. Lamb cutlets, far from being delicate, French cut from the rack, turned out to be huge great chops, more akin to the Barnsley variety, thickly cut from a tough old animal. Puddings were forgettable so I forgot what I had. there was a complete lack of delicacy, of subtlety of flavour, of evidence of cooking skill. Service was OK, but lacked warmth, interest in us as customers or real attentiveness. We paid a lot for this meal and left decidedly underwhelmed and unexcited. We won't be going back. I don't think they will miss us.
A very good address, which I highly recommend! Timeless, neat and warm decoration. Hotel very well located in a quiet area, with free parking, and the town center of Gourdon within walking distance. Clean rooms. Devoted and caring hosts. The only point to improve is the value for money of the breakfast.
