Lilac City Steakhouse - Goulburn

We ate here as this was included in our package deal with the motel.My friend liked his steak and my squid was OK Omeletts in the morning were OK. The meals were nothing to write home about, but hey a very good price deal. Would prefer if TV was not blasting during our meals particularly at breakfast. .

As it had been raining all day we decided that we would take the package offer from the motel to have dinner and breakfast in this steakhouse.The restaurant was quite basic, the staff most welcoming the menu choices not that great which did not bode well for the food.The food was average not that well presented and left us leaving a good part of the food on the plate.Not due for a return visit.

This certainly not the place to go for a group booking!! Orders were taken a huge wait for entrees to come out with some of the food coming out raw & undercooked. All entrees didn't come out before others had there main meal. Unable to cook steak per the request in the order resulting in it being sent back multiple times. The food tasted like it had been sitting there for a period of time. This evening was not a busy evening with on one other table being taken in the establishment. No compensation for the terrible food was provided! Never going back there again and would never recommend it again!

Group of four for dinner. Steak was good quality, cooked well and to order. Portions were generous and tasty. Would recommend to any steak lovers

The customer service was good, however the food was not what we expected. I got a medium rare rump steak with Diane sauce with mashed potatoes and corn with extra vegetables. First off the Diane sauce turned out to be pepper sauce, next my corn was still frozen (uhm why not fresh guys?), the mashed potatoes was barely warm and the extra vegetables was a tiny portion of frozen vegetables! Why isn't there fresh vegetables? The steak by itself was good however and with the right sauce I would have loved it. We did receive a small discount off our meal ($13). The customer service was lovely, the food not so much.
